MJs gun smithing wait three months get your gun exploded, have them deny any responsibility, and stick customer with a surprise bill and call them names On September 30th I brought my 12 gauge shotgun to MJs back in July it was a perfectly operating gun, however sometimes it would jam with 3 1/2 inch shells. I told them I really would like to have the gun back for duck hunting. After over a month of no communication, I called and they said they have 30 guns ahead of me and I would have to wait a while. About a week later, I got a phone call from them telling me that they shot my gun and they exploded the barrel. They were going to send it to the factory to fix it and get it covered under warranty. Duck hunting opening starts and Im still without a shotgun, still have not received any phone calls. I called again asking for an update and did not receive one. On September 30th, I was very frustrated and wanted to know where my gun is so I call MJs and they tell me that the gun is ready. I talked with the store manager owner ***, and he was very rude over the phone and is telling me how I have a $300 bill. He stated how he cannot take any responsibility for blowing up my gun barrel and theres nothing he can do about the bill. I went to the shop to discuss the matter of my shotgun. I was met again with *** and he was still rude and impatient with a customer. Things went pretty poorly and he kept repeating what do you want ?Stop beating around the ****. They accepted 0 responsibility and made me feel very uncomfortable. 0 attempt was made to try and compromise or meet in the middle. I paid the $300 and asked for my choke I had when I brought it in (full choke), and I got back an improved cylinder. I explained that I wanted my original equipment that I brought with the gun in July. I talked to ***, he called me a douche bag and used some other profanities. He blamed it on the factory for stealing my choke and he has no responsibility. My sling was not returned

This customer brought in his firearm not functioning and wanted us to test fire it to see what was going on.  He asked that we keep him updated on the progress.  When we called to let him after test fire, the first thing he asked was Did the barrel blow up?  He had asked this before we could tell him anything, so we assume he knew something was majorly wrong with the gun that we were not made aware of which was quite disappointing because the barrel breaking could have been avoided and one of our employees could have been severely injured due to the negligence of this customer.  We told him at this point the manufacturer of the gun was not going to send us parts and they wanted us to ship the gun to them to be completely gone through.  We informed the customer that the manufacturers dont keep us updated every little step and that they were going to have to replace the barrel.  The customer was well aware that the barrels are over $300.  We received the firearm back on Tuesday, test fired again on Thursday and then he called minutes before he was going to be called.  He came in very rude demanding that we do the repair for free and saying we need to take responsibility for his broken gun he brought us that almost injured one of my employees.all because he wanted to save a couple dollars.  From the beginning we felt bad that he had bad luck with the firearm so we only charged $235 for the barrel which was our wholesale cost, $25 for shipping and $25 for all the work.  We obviously lost money already and he wanted us to lose even more money.  Our shop rate is $75/hour and we had 3 hours tied up into this already so we cut him a huge break.  After 20 minutes of him basically saying the same thing over and over again, the customers girlfriend even told him I dont know why you are still mad at them, they didnt do anything wrong and are trying to help you.  You need to let this go. Tell us why here...
