I rarely write reviews, however, Scenic View Maintenance Services far exceeded our expectations regarding the removal of two large Ash trees, and I wanted to share our experience. The two dead Ash trees were located on either side of our driveway, and I had been making phone calls for weeks attempting to schedule a contractor who would cut them down. There are a lot of homeowners who need dead Ash trees removed right now, their business is booming, and the best offer I could find was a proposal to schedule in March. A recent storm, with 80 mph winds, accelerated the demise of the trees and created a dangerous situation by stripping one of the trees completely of all of its bark and creating two enormous 25ft vertical cracks from ground to branches. That tree was close to powerlines, our neighbor's garage, and our home. I phoned SMS after the storm (Friday) to ask for an estimate; by that afternoon, a representative had visited the site and I received a phone call with a very fair estimate. The owner, Jim, was amazed that the tree had not come down in the 80 mph winds and concurred regarding the urgent need to have it cut down. He offered to remove it the following week- the week before Christmas. Because of the urgency of the situation, he was willing to work us in to their booked schedule. Jim and his crew went the extra mile- they were professional, courteous, and tackled a tough, potentially dangerous job with creativity. They finished earlier than expected, stacked the wood, and left the job site clean and swept -even re-sinking a large garden flag pole that had been knocked down. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and highly recommend Scenic View Maintenance Service.
