On 3.17.2022 we entered into a contract with All Exteriors Plus to remodel two bathrooms, a walk in closet, and finish a kitchen island. Total cost $16,500. Estimated time for project was three weeks (per the contract). On 4.10.22 we let ***** (project *******) know of our selections for the flooring, shower walls, and faucets for the project. We had to special order some of the material (vanities and sinks) and it arrived on 4.29.22.On 5.2.22, ***** replied and said he was doing a bathroom and said "I do believe that your project is next I'll let you know when I get closer to the end."After waiting weeks and then months for our project to start, I was emailed by ***** on 7.27.22 and he said, "**** (owner) has us doing a big job right now and we will start yours in 2-weeks again so sorry."I finally got ***** to start the project on 9.6.22. He assured me that he wouldn't pull off of ours until it was completed.9.7.22. Paid $8,250.A couple of days after the start of the project, I asked about a permit. ***** said that there wasn't one in the packet and that **** usually provides it.After the drywall was installed, I asked about any inspections being performed and ***** said, "I didn't think about it". Still no permit. After six weeks, the first bathroom (master bath) is still not completed. The contractor cleaned up and moved out with all their tools. Last day of the contractor being here is 10.13.22.***** has just recently sent me some texts asking for a color choice for the kitchen island top. He sounds as though he is coming back but we have no idea when. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. I have spoken to **** about this and he acts as though he doesn't have any control over anything. Communication is absolutely horrible.I've also asked **** to consider giving us a credit for the second bathroom after the first one is finished. He never answered this proposal.

On Thursday, 11.17.22 I heard back from ***** via text showing us pictures of some material for the island and telling us that someone will drop off some samples of scrap wood to use as test for stain matching.

I responded the same day by thanking him and asking if there was any reason why they couldnt come over and finish the master bathroom. No response. While at work that day someone dropped off some wood.

On Sunday, 11.20.22 I sent him our choice of color. I also asked if they could come by this week and finish the island. Again, no response.

That is all the contact weve had in two weeks, one text.

I wouldnt say that they addressed the complaint. I would say that we are not satisfied with the progress since the complaint.

      Regards,

Business states there are just a few remaining items to complete the project. They are waiting to hear that the necessary hardware is in, then will be picking up the material. They should be in contact with the consumer within the next few weeks to schedule the completion date.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      [Please type your response here.]

As stated, in the original complaint, the contractor is absolutely horrible at communication. They have returned for 2 1/2 days of work, but the project is still not completed. To simply state that they are waiting for material is not a sufficient response.

I sent an email with four items that need to be corrected due to either a poor installation, faulty material (s), or a mistake that was made by the contractor and these items have not been addressed. In addition, I have sent another two items for correction and they have not responded.

There has been no mention of an inspection taking place, and it looks as though they wont be getting an inspection for us. They have not addressed this either.

      Regards,

I am not satisfied with the contractor to this date.

I have initiated several conversations with them via emails and one phone conversation with the owner on Thursday, 1.19.23.

The contractor needs to drive to **** to pick up some glass and hardware.  I dont know how long it has been ready for pick up.

I have emailed a detailed punch list with six items that need attention and they say that they arent coming unless they have the material to complete the job.  I explained that there is more than one days worth of work here so they should come as soon as possible.

The work has finally been completed. The contractor hasnt had a permit or inspection done yet. They say they have a plumber who is willing to inspect the work (as much as they can) and get a permit after that. So far, the plumber hasnt contacted us to arrange an appropriate time for an inspection. I believe that is the next step. Have you heard anything back from the contractor?

The plumber finished the work on Wednesday, 5.31.23. The contractor sounds like they are working on getting a permit.

Final payment to All Exteriors Plus has been made as of 7.12.23.  They did manage to get a permit and have a final inspection from the Town of Pleasant Springs.  We are not satisfied with the whole process of this remodel project.  This is our first time hiring a contractor for a project such as this and we were absolutely traumatized.  We were so unhappy with how things went and the contractor didn't seem to care at all.  This is very disturbing.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR TO ANYONE FOR ANY BUSINESS!
