I had a code come up on my car and the engine shut off. When I took it in to *** Clapper they said it wasn't really the problem even tho the codes came up. Currently the codes are still on file at *** Clapper. They said if it happened again they would replace the part and stating it was under warranty for 2 more years. The paper statement says it is under warranty until September of 2022.The problem is a known problem with this car. They should have just fixed it.Then they proceeded to tell me my car needed over $3,000 over other work. It was new and not bought from them. It has happened 2 more times. But they will not replace the turbo because the code is not recent and the check engine light is no longer on, because for some reason everyone clears the codes every time they check it. However, my car had to be towed. Its very much a real problem and is very unsafe. They seem to be trying to stall until its no longer in warranty. I just want the problem to stop and have a safe car to drive my child in. I bought an extended warranty to avoid this. Currently my paperwork is in the car, which I do not currently have as it was towed to the dealer I bought it from.Business response
