I have been trying to get in contact with Doyle exteriors for a week and a half reguarding my roof that is leaking. I hired Doyle exteriors 3 years ago to put a new roof on my house (through insurance claim). The roof started to leak after less than a year and they did come out to fix it. A couple weeks ago it started to leak again from the same spot. I tried to call Doyle starting 10-01-21 and am told the owner (*****) is not in the office and they will pass on the message. I have tried calling them every other day trying to get ahold of him and have had no luck. My roof is still leaking and the drywall is falling off of the ceiling. I would just like to speak with him about what is going on.Business response

I stopped in on Oct 27th and talked to this customer.
We told him we can put on a new chimney flashing like we did 2 yrs ago, but it will not last because the chimney has reached it's end and needs to be replaced. When we get time we will be happy to do that.
Customer needs masonry work done to resolve this issue.

**** and his crew re-did our roof in the fall of 2020. After that winter we noticed a bunch of water marks on our ceiling. I had **** come back out and he said it was an insulation problem our roof was fine. The problem continued to get worse so I had two other roofing companies come out and both stated the flashing was done incorrectly on our bay windows (where the leaks were) and that flashing in several areas werent even nailed down. After this I called **** who came back out and agreed (he finally looked at the bay windows - his first trip he didn't). He sent his guys out and only had them fix one bay window. Later after that we got a big rain storm and water was flowing into our house. I called **** the next day and he sent guys out to take a look. They found a hole in the roof and fixed it and finally they decided to fix the other bay windows as well. I asked **** to get a receipt or document of the work that was done and he stated he send one over; this was July 2021.Business response

I was there for this customer from the very start and saw this whole repair through to the end. What else can you ask for!? Once the problem was identified, it was IMMEDIATELY fixed. All who reads this should also know that I didn't do the roof for *****. My customers were the previous owners. Our workmanship warranty was contracted with the original owners. From a legal standpoint, I could have thrown up my hands and said "not my problem". However, that is not who I am. So I did the right thing and repaired the deficiencies; and did so at breakneck speed considering the time of year and the workload.
This all stems from this request to get a write up of what was done to the home from a repair standpoint. This was REQUESTED of me. Again, requested, not required. I agreed to the request. I said I would write it up and send it to her as time allows. This year has not been a normal year. It takes a lot more effort to get the same amount of jobs done. On top of that we are having an unprecedented amount of business to handle. This has made all these little request all but impossible to complete. We are a small family owned company. When you get a job done by me, you deal directly with me. That is a perk of using our company is all of our projects are managed by a stakeholder. I don't have this huge staff to do things like this, it is all on me. In the winter, when things slow down and I'm not working 14 hour days six days a week, and also trying to be the best father and husband I can be, then I'll have the time to write this up and send it to you.
I do truly apologize for the problems on this customers house. As indicated by my response to the problems, which was exceptional. We never want issues, but it does happen in one out of one hundred jobs and I will always fix issues that come up from my guys' work. This is stemming from the REQUEST of recap of the repair (which I didn't owe them, in fact didn't owe them the repair work either). Which was already explained in person, verbally to both of these owners.

March of 2021 I signed a contract with Doyle that included siding, shutters, railing and window install. Everything was completed within 2 weeks except the shutters. I was told in March they were ordered and it would be two weeks. It is now 6 months later and nothing. Multiple calls and text messages have been made to ***** that have went nowhere. Each time contact was made I was told they would be here soon. Six weeks ago I was told they were in transit from ********** even though he would not track nor give me the tracking number. You always hear horror stories about contractors and how they are shady and don't finish the job. This is my first real experience with one as a homeowner and I should have done more research and went with a more reputable company. I did my end and paid for the whole job up front I just want my job completed.Business response

I have read your concerns and I am aware your shutters do still need to be put on your house. I would like to note that I have not charged you for your shutters on your contract so far being that they have to be done. Your account still has a balance based on that. You are correct, your job is not completed yet and for that I am sorry. Your shutters were ordered and I can check on them again or re-order some for you. I will be getting in touch with you very soon to discuss the next step to complete this project for you.
