    midwest (****) contacted us on 1/16/2024, the day of our house fire. they offered their services and promised to advocate for us. We did choose to work with them, they started demo on the house and did not complete it. We halted further work in February until we knew which direction the job would go ( teardown/repair/rebuild new). They provided us with an invoice in *** of $69,084.10 for completed demo work. We paid it in good faith in full. A week later we received a supplement bill for additional $23,917.60 for additional work they did during the partial demo. Again, work was NOT completed. We did not pay the supplement as the work was not done. We called and spoke to owner ***** ****** and he stated we would work it out later. We received a detailed invoice of work they were billing us for. Realized we overpaid with the original payment. We asked for a meeting to discuss a refund for work not finished. Nor would some of it ever be done as the 2nd story would need to come off so all work billed on that level would be void. ******************************* came out to the house to review all incomplete work and agreed to refund of approx $23k. A week later he sent an email stating they wont pay and are considering it a wash as we didnt pay the additional supplement invoice. They also quit the project via email in May. We now have no builder. The refuse to refund the overpayment. We have provided proof to them of work actually completed vs. what was actually paid for. Actual work completed comes to approx. $40,496.91. We overpaid by approx. $28,587.20. Home is still in same condition as they left it. We have pictures and actual home as proof of work they didnt do vs. what they did complete. i have provided the invoice. all highlighted lines are work NOT completed. They have been dishonest and committed theft, and fraud. they even listed performing work that was not possible as items they "removed" never existed in the first place to be removed.

    I just want to thank Coyne ****** and Ryan****************** for their support and their passion for wanting to make me as whole as possible they really want to bat for me. They made me feel like they knew exactly what I was going after such a devastating lost of my personal possessions. My heart felt thanks go out to MIDWEST RESTORATION. I'm glad to see there are such good people out there that truly care.Thank you both so much, keep up the good work.
