      Creative Home Technologies has twice sold ** windows that were promised to be "one touch" operation, and wihtin six months, have become so stiff that it is a struggle to open them with two hands. When they called again, I told them I would be filing a complaint because of how crappy their windows are, and they tried to give me a runaround about how it's not sitting correctly in the track. Pure, 100% Grade-A bullplop. I've taken the windows out, cleaned them, and put them back in multiple times, and they ****. They are KNOWINGLY selling a faulty product.

      First of all, ******* isn't a customer of ours.  The first set of windows were purchased by his mother who is ************************  She purchased windows on 4/14/2015.  There were no issues at all with the windows.  The second purchase of windows were purchased by ******************************* which i believe is her daughter on 7-31-2017.  We never received an issue with the windows until September of 2020.  A service technician went out to do a service call on October 14, 2020.  The issues were fixed and again nothing from anyone about a problem until this complaint came in today.  

      We contacted the homeowner to inform them that the manufacturer was redesigning the window after 20 years of the same design.  We wanted to give them the opportunity to match the current design they have now, and they would have to the end of October to do so. We have a great service department that takes care of any issues for 10 years without costing the homeowner a *****.  One complaint in the last eight years until now doesn't warrant the comments made by ***************  We offered to come take a look to see what was going on and he refused to allow us to do so.  

      Even against his will we would be happy to fix any issues or problems they may have. given the opportunity.

      I had three windows installed on 7/29/22. I paid a down payment of $500 up front and the rest has been financed through Service Finance in the amount of $5400. The business prides themselves on satisfaction guaranteed but has been nothing but difficult to work with when I have been able to get in touch with someone. I left several messages for the owner before he called me back, including a message on the very day of installation. He assure me the serviceman would call me that day to look at my windows as I had left two messages for *** in regards to this as well with no return call. No one has called me to look at the windows. When they were installed I noticed a couple of things that I brought to the attention of the work crew. They stated that they would take pictures and talk with the owner as this was a "factory issue." The issue with all three windows as I looked closer and had another party look at them as I don't know a lot about windows or what is standard/acceptable, was as follows. Each screen has one or more holes in it, the corners and edges where the windows are cut are not finished edges and are jagged, rough and not cut straight. There are multiple areas where the window frames are scratched, scuffed or unfinished/rough. This is true of the wood and the inside white frame of the window. There are multiple 2-3 inch scratches on the glass on one window. All of the windows are peeling where they cut and welded them. The area where they welded the windows is turned up and looks like damage. One window was not caulked on the outside top. Each window does not fit the window frame and there is a large gap where yellow insulation can be seen and touched. The windows are not secure and move when opened. One window is only able to be opened half an inch and does not work. The quality of these windows is poor and they installed damaged product. The installation was not done properly and I do not have windows that work or look nice.

      The issues are due to some manufacturing issues and are being resolved.  We had to order new parts and will be delivered in a timely manner.  As far as contacting the homeowner she was call backed immediately but told us that she didn't want *** back out to her home.  He is the only one who takes care of these kinds of issues.  The homeowner is being very difficult on her behalf because she doesn't like the appearance of the window.  ********** efficiency of these windows our second to known.  The insulating power and the longevity of these windows will last here a lifetime including a 50-year manufacture warranty and 10-year workmanship warranty with no service calls fees for 10 years.  I hope she will change her mind after experiencing the product in a year.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      We obviously have very different recollections of this issue and how it has been handled.  Per other peer reviews it seems that getting a call back is very hard to do and is a customary response from this company, not to mention their rude and unprofessional response once you do get one.  This is why *** was asked not to come back.  Not only do the windows look cheap and poorly made, they are DAMAGED.  There are holes in the screens, scratches on the glass, and scratches on the frames--inside and out.  They were not INSTALLED properly.  They move when opened as they are not secure and a half inch of insulation is visible on all windows around the entire frame.  When speaking with the owner, he stated the above response to me repeatedly and was unwilling to acknowledge the damage and the improper installation.  This is not purely a cosmetic issue.  I am unsure how this owner and the installer believe these windows will outperform anything when damaged and not properly installed.  This needs to be fixed.

      On October 7 21 we signed a contract with this company to install a new roof and gutters. Salesman *********************** told us that they would install the roofing in 2 weeks and the gutters would be the following week. A few days later a guy came to check to make sure everything was correct. November 22 & 23 they installed the roof. At that time they removed most of our existing gutters. Early December they came to install the gutters and the guy said that it was going to cost more money. *********************** called us and said that it was going to cost $2200.00 more because of the way our soffits were built. 2 people from their company have already looked at them and said no problem installin the gutters and that they do this style all the time. After a discussion with the owner *** he said that they could do it cheaper than the original price. Why were we not gave this option at the time of the estimate? They came and started to install the gutters on December 11 21. They couldn't finish because of a snow storm and said that they would be back in probably March. I called the end of March and the girl told me that they haven't started yet because of the soft ground. We called the end of April and the girl said that the owner would call us the week of May 2nd. We still have not received a call. I told them at the beginning if they didn't want to come to Marinette just let me know. She said that it's no problem going to Marinette. The work they did so far is not good. On a front gutter the water goes behind the gutter, another the extension has torn off in the wind because the hole was drilled to close to the edge. Also the extensions don't flip up like we were told that they would. All we get from them are excuses. They seem to think that because we live up north they can tell us anything and we will believe it. We have been treated very poorly from this business. I feel that we should be compensated for all the lies that we have been told and for the long delays.

      We hired this company to replace our front picture window in 2020. The windows are under warranty. Within a few months on being installed one of the sliding panes broke. They came and replaced it, but ignored out question about how the window slides hard and you cannot lock it. Within a month of the slider window being replaced, it broke again. We have been trying to contact the company since April to get a replacement. They do not return phone calls. The last contact I had with them was on August 31st when they said they believed our replacement window was sitting at the office and he would call me when he had that confirmed and would be down on Sept. 10 to replace it. No contact since August 31st. At this point we would really like out $2500 back and we will find another window company to replace the entire window. We paid $2500 for a window that we are going to have to have tape up because the glass is flaking off and falling into the house.
