Kohler Credit Union has refused to apply payments to all my accounts in a timely fashion. They are currently sitting on $12,000 that is supposed to be credited to our ***** account and they are refusing to do so.Business Response

On 2/18/25 I attempted to make a deposit at the *** located at the Kohler Credit Union located at ****************************************. The machine had an error and would not return my $2600 and it didn't deposit the money into my account. I contacted *** on 2/19/25 and filed a Reg E claim and was not given any documentation for this claim. I also have not received a provisional credit or a resolution despite several phone calls attempting to get one. I spoke to a service *** who stated no provisional credit would be issued and that I would need to wait until the *** was serviced. He failed to mention when that would be. I was hung up on when I stated I would file a complaint.Business Response

We received a dispute escalation from *** ******** that she had deposited ******* in cash at the ****** Dr *** but an error occurred and the funds were not returned to her or credited to her account.
Upon internal investigation of the situation, and review of the regulatory guidelines, Kohler Credit Union has provided Ms. ******** with provisional credit and apologized for the inconvenience.

1. Set up $1500 monthly withdrawal to my US Bank account.2. Only $1,000 was withdrawn monthly.3. I went back to *** and was told only $1,000 per month could be withdrawn.4. If I wanted the additional amount of $500 to be withdrawn I would need to set it up myself on my home computer. 5. I set up the additional $500 per month but *** has yet to show any deduction.6. I have been a loyal *** member since the 1970's. It is clear that the *** employees and branch managers are not given thorough training. I hate to close my accounts but the frustration and failure to provide me **************** is unacceptable. I can no longer recommend *** to anyone. The following is in response to BBB consumer complaint #********and submitted by Mr. *********************** on January 1, 2024.
**************** has an existing monthly ACH withdrawal/transfer of $1000 that was established by a signed authorization on December 9, 2021. He contacted Kohler Credit Union on November 27, 2023, to request that the withdrawal/transfer be increased to $1500, but was advised by the service representative, that due to security measures, the maximum he can transfer via ACH is $1000. **************** was provided with the option of sending the additional $500 via online bill pay.
**************** did establish on December 22, 2023, an online bill payment for the $500. Records indicate that US Bank received the check on December 30, 2023, and cleared on January 3, 2024.The credit union contacted **************** on January 3, 2024,to explain the situation and answer any additional questions he may have.

On May 1st 2023 Kohler Credit Union undertook a "security upgrade" in which bank members were issued new Debit Cards. What the bank did not tell me was that they changed my account number to include three additional characters (714) and in doing so every one of my monthly payments was returned from my lenders because the banking information I had listed was now changed without notice from Kohler Credit Union. I have been homeless. I have worked tirelessly for my "good" credit score and now my score is tanking because of Kohler Credit Union. I am in the process of butying a home and now my plans are on hold. I want my credit score fixed and I am seeking monetary damages.Business Response

KCU spoke with ************* on June 6 in regards to his returned payments.

I went into the ************ branch Monday and the ************* helped me and I told him I wanted to extradite a new card and I was willing to pay the $45 fee. Its now Thursday and I find out my card was never ordered so now Im paying $45 fee to wait till Monday for it to arrive so Im going longer without access to my money and without being able to pay bills. Im really upset by this negligence, and would like the bank to cover the $45 expedition fee.Business Response

Upon review of the situation, Ms. ******* original request for an expedited debit card was not completed. The error was discovered upon Ms. ******* call into our contact center on March 30th. Upon applying for SBA loan, it was provided to me that there were *** filings reflected on us personally. The businesses listed Radio North LLC, ***************** Commerical Finance (secured party) listed along with Kohler Credit Union and a debtor of a business (********** Floors) along with us being listed as debtors personally. We are NOT tied to any of them. Emailed the *** in regard to the *** filings upon which stated to contact lender on the filings. I tried contacting the lender twice, once on 3-24-23 11:25AM with no return call and again today at 11:44 am speaking to a *******, being promised a call back, even though I asked to speak with someone. I need to be able to find out why and what is going on and receive the assistance in clearing this matter that seems to incorrectly tie us to business loans that have no bearing.Business Response

Kohler Credit Union attempted to reach ****************** on March 27 but was unsuccessful. The credit union followed up again on March 31 to inform **************** that we were in the process of researching the situation.
Upon review, the *** filling report that the SBA lender is pulling is mistakenly showing liens with similar numbers into one comprehensive report. The ******** *** liens ******* and Radio North) that are appearing on the report **************** is referencing are not from KCU, nor are they related to KCU. **************** does have 2 liens with Kohler Credit Union and these will remain in force until the boat and snowmobile loans are paid off.
The credit union will be contacting **************** on April 4 to provide this same information.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and note that I was well aware of the loan with Kohler Credit Union and they should have also stated that they filed these based on the fact the snowmobile, motor and trailer of the boat have no title and why they did this. It should also be noted that when they placed the call on ****, no voicemail was left but I did call after 5pm and leave a message.

Kohler Credit Union called **************** on March 27 but did not leave a message. **************** returned that call after 5pm and left a message. The credit union followed up again on March 31 to inform **************** that we were in the process of researching the situation.

The following is in response to BBB consumer complaint # ******** submitted by ********************************* and received by Kohler Credit Union via email on July 14, 2022.
******************** has not paid on his auto loan since 3/22/22. The loan is currently 108 days past due.
It is clearly shown within our collection letter that no late fees or finance charges are being charged and are not included in his payment amount. Therefore,Mr. Mitchells complaint is without merit.
