When we moved in, you could barely see out of the windows, they were that dirty. We had a professional window cleaning service come and do them, as the hard water deposits were too difficult for us to remove ourselves. The technician told us that many, many of the windows have scratches on them. When we were told this, we texted ***, the warranty manager, and she said, basically, tough luck. Scratches are not covered under the warranty. Our protests that we couldnt inspect the windows at the walk throughs due to the filth they were encrusted with meant nothing. We texted *****, and he said hed look into it. Nothing became of that as well. At the end of our three-month warranty review, ***** again said nothing would be done with the windows. We didnt bring up the problems during the walk throughs prior to us buying the home. Again, our contention is that we couldnt make that determination, as the windows were so filthy.Our concrete front porch has numerous surface pops. One of our entry way sidewalk squares is cracked. Again, really bad concrete, either the mix and/or the installation was terrible. Our metal front door had a dent, which was promised to be reviewed at the three month walk through, along with the front porch concrete. The builder washed their hands on these issues. Concrete pops/cracks are excluded from any warranty coverage per their manual. Would someone buy a new car, and upon delivery, have to accept it with a bunch of dents on the body? Of course not. Why is this any different? Poor workmanship, and we have to have it forced down our throats.There are many other problems, which Id be glad to send to you in a separate E mail. Multiple leaks in our basement walls, cracked engineered wood floor planks, disrespectful treatment from the Fairwyn employees, including the owner, **************************What would I like you to do?I greatly appreciate you looking into this matter. Our stance is that the windows and concrete should be replaced/repaired at the builders expense.
