    I made a reservation for April 22 and 23, 2022 at the Microtel in *******, **. When I arrived I was initially disappointed by the property as there was siding missing, the tile was cracked and missing in the entry way, all of the trim was torn off the walls in the hallway, there was a horrible smell throughout the building, our refrigerator did not work and there was black stains in the bathtub/shower. After dropping our stuff off and going out for a bit, I decided it was too disgusting to stay there so when we got back, we checked out and asked that our reservation be cancelled and that I would like a full refund. I was told by ******* and ***** at the front desk that they would be fine cancelling my reservation but that refunding my money was not up to them as I made my reservation through Trip.com. I contacted Trip.com and they have made numerous attempts to work with Microtel to refund my money but are being told they will only refund me for one night. Both parties are pointing to the other party as to whom is responsible for a refund. The hotel was beyond disgusting and there was no way I could stay there comfortably. I want a full refund as I made a good faith reservation based on photos on their website, when in fact the hotel does not meet the standards set by their website.
