1 starPromises and 11th hour delayed closings ended with you can't get a mortgage for $160k at $1000 per month even though you currently pay $1900 a month in rent. Endless, we need more documents. Assured and reassured the deal would get done. One closing date canceled with 48 hours of happening. Another 4 days before. Seller made very generous concessions towards the down payment. Told the down payment was covered and we'd need no money at closing but, 4 to 5 grand in the bank the day of. Told a relative could gift us that amount and we could give it back the day after. As a former home builder for over 40 years, I have been associated with various mortgage companies and their brokers. Bob ***** from Fairway Independent Mortgage goes above and beyond. He found many programs to help us when we purchased our home. I can't thank him and especially Katie for all they did for us.
