I will never rent from Gregg Shimanski Realty again. I have a detailed list of the issues with my rental unit, but this is BBB and I will keep my comments to the rental company and their conduct. (But know that other comments about noise are accurate.) Susan (senior property manager) is the worst rental employee I've ever had to deal with. I'm looking up other reviews relating to Gregg Shimanski Realty and her name keeps coming up so let me add my experience to the list. I was laid off and lost my job out of nowhere. I found a new job, but it wasn't local and required me to move short-notice. I had some 7-8 months left on my lease. I 100% understand that I signed a lease and I 100% intended of living in my unit for the full term, but again, I was laid off. I was hoping for some human decency when I told them this. Instead Susan insults me and mocks me when I'm already in a horrible situation. You tell me I can sublease - OK - I look for subleasers. I don't find any before I have to move and she LAUGHS AT ME. Since we can't sublease, we have to mutually agree to end the lease. Their terms are forfeit of security deposit (~$2,000) and 2 months rent (~$4,600). OK. We tell them that's what we're going to do. Their reply - nope, it's now security deposit plus 3 months rent. When we first toured here, Susan strong-armed our decision to move-in by saying that someone else was going to take the unit if we didn't sign immediately. You also told us that you're increasing the rent of our unit by some $300 after our lease is up. You keep telling us how high-demand the unit is, but now that we have to leave you’re suggesting that it will be vacant for months and cost you insurmountable funds to fill? I see the type of business Gregg Shimanski Realty does. It’s vile and like every landlord meme ever made. I refuse to believe that a land of lords is hurting for money so bad that they have to pick on a guy who lost his job.

I learned very early in life that there are two sides to every story and this is certainly true in this case. I won't spend the time or energy to reply but I can assure all that ***** was handled properly - fact is he just didn't want to live up to his legal commitment. He was given an option of working with us to sublet his unit and chose not to which would have saved him a great deal of money - on top of that he is a bit of a bully!

For around a month and a half to two months noise from upstairs neighbor increased dramatically during the hours of 4am-7am. Neighbor refuses to come to the door to discuss solutions. Especially given that we wear earplugs and take sleep aids to try to make it through the night without being woken up. Reached out and was responded to by Susan. No results after a while so we reach out a second time. Ten days later we send a follow up email wondering why it's been ten days with no response. The property manager then told me I was insulting for indicating she hadn't responded for ten days then stated that she will go over and talk with the tenant. Being that I can hear all the noise they make and stay at home all day I believe this was a lie. Hearing a week later there are still no change in tenants noise levels during the early am hours. Further indication that the property manager is not willing to assist Tennant's in obtaining quiet enjoyment of the property they rent. Do not recommend living here if you treasure your quiet/sleep/ or have a condition which makes you sensitive to stimuli like epilepsy. And if you do rent here pray your neighbors have the same schedule.
