We contracted with Oasis Property Maintenance, Inc. to finish part of our basement into a media room, exercise room and bathroom. This company did sub-standard work and we would not recommend working with them. The deliverables included: 1) Frame out two low ceiling areas, 2) Install drywall, tape, mud and sand, 3) Apply textured primer and paint ceiling and walls, and 4) Install tile floor in bathroom. We hired professionals (not OPM) to do the electrical, plumbing and HVAC work and these other companies did an excellent job. Issues include: 1) The texturizing was heavy in some areas and non-existent in others, and the painting was very sloppy – not clean lines between ceiling and walls, some areas not fully painted. This poor work resulted in us, the owners, having to retexturize several areas and repaint every inch of ceilings and walls. 2) Poor quality tiling job. It was clear the tiler was inexperienced: The tiler did not match the tile pattern along the entryway to the bathroom, and some edges along the wall were missing tile. We required that several areas of tiling work be redone to fix the issues. 3) Our electrician discovered that the drywall was installed incorrectly around the electrical boxes. OPM installed the drywall so tightly around the metal electrical boxes for outlets and switches that when the drywall was screwed into the studs it resulted in a gap between the back of the drywall and the stud. There should have been space allowed so the boxes could naturally protrude out from the front of the drywall and so the drywall would fit snuggly against the studs rather than leaving a space between the two. The outcome is that likely once everything settles in the basement there will be vertical lines with screw pops up the wall. Major issue. We were told the only remedy would be to rip out the drywall and reinstall. It is clear that the owner and his team do not have the expertise nor training to deliver a quality result.

Sorry First of all the paint was supposed to be one color then your wife ended up different color for bathroom and different color for living room and ceiling different color Second the bathroom tile was perfectly done and you assumed that was complete and you took a picture before even was completed and when its completed both of you was happy - Third you try to accuse us so you get discount which is we take off completely the cost of paint cost and labor that we lost a lot of money just trying to end the project with you Fourth we gave you another discount from the total just to be done with you We did a lot of basement and we had a lot of good references that they appreciate the work Your purpose was just to play around just to cut more money from the estimate We spoke with the electrician he was suffering too he just wanted to finish the job and leave Thank you again
