In January of this year, I had an opportunity to put up a billboard for my business in a high traffic area that would have been great marketing for me. The owner of the billboard/location sent me a design for the billboard to use. I was not authorized to use any other design than the one they gave me to use. I sent it to Signs By Tomorrow to be made, as I have done so with this company in the past and was always very satisfied with their business. They responded to me that the design I sent them could not be made because of the quality/resolution of the photo used in the design. After that they (Signs By Tomorrow) sent me different options for designs that would work for the billboard. I was never able to get them approved by the billboard owner, and someone named **** called me and told me she was going to charge me for the time they spent on the designs. I told her that was ridiculous, for one- I never asked them to create any of the designs they sent to me. Secondly, I was never told upfront that I would be charged for anything except the price of the billboard which was never made. **** was clearly having a bad day when she was talking to me about the bill I would be getting for "their time" but she made up a fake invoice and sent it to me. Now they keep sending me reminders for this balance that I owe.

**** placed a large order and continued to have ** make revisions to the design, because the photos she gave us were either not usable or she didn't like the images that worked.  We tried many times to follow-up with her and each time she assured us that she was 1) having a professional photo taken and would send it; 2) she was in ****** and would return our call when she got back; & 3) finally canceled the order after about 4 hours of design time was put into the job.  We started this project in January and **** finally conveyed to us in May after another round of follow-*** that she was canceling the order.  The total amount of the order she placed was just under $1,000 and we do not proceed with design work, unless the order's cost is approved, in order to avoid these exact scenarios.  When I tried to explain that to ****, she called me a "weird bitch" and hung up on me.  She then spent some time on FB and a sent friend request to my husband in the middle of the night.

      Take care ****!

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

It is not my fault they spent 4 hours making one design that I ultimately did not ask for and I never authorized any sort of work on their behalf. I sent them a design that was given to me by the billboard owner and moved on.  When they kept calling me and sending me their designs and then ultimately decided to bill me for their "time Spent" I found it extremely weird and I googled the owner of the company to try to get into contact with someone more professional which is how I came across the ******** profile and sent a friend request in an attempt to get into contact with the owner.  It's embarrassing for their company to be so desperate for business that they have to make up invoices and act so *****/unprofessional towards their customers.  I assumed the owner had no idea of the way **** is conducting business under their name!  Either way, they have not provided any service to me that I asked for within this transaction and they have no basis to charge me for anything.   Their business conduct is absurd and needs to be documented.

      Regards,
