Signed a contract with Ganser in May of 2021. It took them a month to finalize it. Two months to send a measurement guy out. Then a month later come to find out he was fired and our measurements were lost, there’s no record of the project. They fired several more staff members. Laundry list of communication failures. Then came the excuses: can’t do anything until the weather is above 60, it was in the seventies for a few weeks, we don’t have staff, we have supply issues, even though I was told it was sitting in a warehouse for us over the 2021 winter, we’ve had back ups in the other jobs, none of which are my problem. Then the best part the showroom tells me Marc is “on a sales call” bringing in more clients when he cannot take care of the ones he already has, and had waiting an entire year! He canceled the contract because they cannot satisfy it 16 months after we signed it. Now I’m still waiting for my refund 2 weeks after. If your looking for excuses instead of completed projects they’re the ones to see. I would give Ganser Company zero stars if I could. I will be telling anyone who is looking for siding or roofing to stay as far from Ganser as possible, because they’re a scam.

Hi *****,As we agreed back in June of this year, if due to supply chains and project bottlenecks to stemming from the inability to get materials in, did not allow us to have the ability to start your project in July of this year, I agreed that we would cancel your job and refund your money--which we are. You stated you had another contractor that could get to the project sooner if we could not start in July. The company is not running a "scam"--we are working through supply chain issues that have severely restricted us from hiring to meet the bottleneck. How can you build your business with staff if you don't know for certain when things will be in nor can you get firm dates from suppliers? Do I hire a high skilled installer at $ ***** to $ ***** an hour, and I have nothing for him/her to install? "Well, today...you're scrubbing toilets"...do you think you'll retain that individual? I am not trying to be funny but state what is going on in a very common sense way. Also, we are not going to hire individuals right now, in the midst of challenges, there is no time to train as this business takes at the minimum, 2-3 years to understand and no mislead customers. The ones that are qualified to hire, already have jobs and are assets to their employers. We eliminated positions and cut the fat of the company, keeping our best people. We can get more done, rather than having too many "cooks in the kitchen" did not help us navigate the daily, weekly, and monthly changes. Back a year and a half ago, all businesses, not just construction, were able to get supplies in within 3 months. Now from cars to electronics, appliances, construction to equipment, companies and clients are now waiting 6 months to over a year to get orders in.Yes, we are still signing contracts, and our customers now know since we've had a year of a snap shot to see how turnaround for products is turning out, that they will be waiting in cases up to 9 to 12 months. But the difference is they are being told that upfront whereas a year ago, we did not know how things were going to go--nor did anyone else.I apologize you had to endure all this--in all the years I have worked in the business, never have I nor anyone else I know running a business, has seen anything like this. And there shouldn't be anyone, unless they lived and worked through the last pandemic of 1918.We are still getting projects done, our customers are happy and relieved their projects are finished up, but all everyone needs now is time--and being a business that has elapsed 83 years of doing business, had its many shares of trials and challenges, I am not worried we will get through this and we have many times before.I have stated to many of my customers, what my Grandpa **** Ganser said to his customers, when they had similar things outside of their control happen: "Well, the longer you have to wait, the newer it will be." I smile and this memory has helped me in my daily work.I am happy you were able to find someone you can trust and that your work will be done to your satisfaction. I am sorry for the runaround--I am tired of it too. It will change, it is just a matter of when the world and the issues that lead to this, settle down.Sincerely,********************* Ganser--Vice ********** ********************** ****

From the beginning the experience was awful. When I called to get a quote 8 months ago, I was met with a confused person on the phone. They said they were new, so I ignored it, but I should have taken that as a sign of things to come. When we finally decided to accept the contract, I didn’t get a copy. Thankfully I took a picture of it when we signed it. After several e-mails and a few months of asking I received my copy of the contract, complete with incorrect names. (They never got the names correct). Over the past 8 months I have been reaching out to the company since they make zero effort to reach me regarding anything. After many emails and questions regarding delays in the project I finally got a start date. The workers came to install 2 skylights and 1 sun tunnel. While the install was good, there was clearly chaos amongst the workers. There was no foreman or project manager to walk me thru the processes. At one point I was asked about paint for my ceiling. I asked if I could get a different paint in the “tunnel” for the skylight. I was latter informed they just wanted to primer it since I said I might paint my ceiling in the future. Well paint was on my contract so they ultimately painted. However, refused to use the actual paint match that I provided from an original paint container and now my final install looks terrible. In addition, I am still awaiting one final item of my sale. Velux Active kit was on my contract but never delivered. When I asked about it no one knew what I was talking about. I simply “googled” it, something I would assume anyone with a cell phone could do or better yet should simply known about if selling this product and not need to look it up! The whole project was way over priced and my experience was terrible. I should have known when an itemized receipt was not an option that this company is run terribly. They will NEVER do work on my home again. Extremely disappointed.

Hi *****,I spoke with *******************, your salesperson, and the manager of your job. He was not aware of your dissatisfaction of your completed job. When you came in to pick up the Velux active kit, ***** asked you if there was anything else that needed to be done and you replied no; if there is something, I would be happy to send the men out to take care of it. The #1 reason for the delay in getting your project started, was that Velux had discontinued their solar venting ******************* due to the chip shortage. Like you, we were not kept in the loop of when they would start making the skylights again--luckily they started again the first of this year. And being we had to wait until spring for install ****** was terrible as you know with all the rain). Lastly, if you wish to share with me your feedback, I left you a message. Hoping we can connect at some point. My apologies for your experience--not one we would have liked but an honest answer is this: This is not a typical business environment at present and like many other businesses, we are struggling to provide proper customer expectations given the nature of supply shortages, which bottleneck production, do not allow for good customer communication.I am grateful for your business and feedback; please know I take it to heart and we will as time goes on, be better in a month, two month, and so on as the business navigates through all of this. Sincerely,Marc Ganser

My mother had the only full bath in her home redone in 2017 by Ganser Company. She is a single woman living on disability. She saved and saved to have her bathroom redone. Many people gave her a hard time about how much she paid Ganser to do it. Still, they came and gutted the bathroom down to the studs and placed new flooring, drywall, tub/shower, toilet and sink. She loved it and it looked very nice. Fast forward 4 years and while in the shower, water starts to pour through the light fixtures in the kitchen. Massive amounts of water coming through every light fixture below where the upstairs bathroom sits. We call Ganser Company and they send someone out to take a look. He lets us know that it looks like none of the tub/shower fixtures were caulked when the original job was done. He also tells us that there were some loose fittings that he tightened. He did not have a receipt or a work order to leave us to show proof of the issue. We wait a day and call Ganser Company. We need our ceiling fixed where the water ran down. It is an old home with plaster ceilings and you can see the water damage that has been done. Also we need some assurance that water hasn't been slowly leaking for 4 years and now we have more mold/water issues than before. **** Ganser returned her phone call. Told her that her warranty had ended 2 years prior. Told her that mold does not form that quickly and she could call the ** research lab and confirm his statements. He was VERY condesending to her. We know have thousands of dollars of damage and still have a leaking unit that is all a result of poor workmanship and their lack of finishing a job. We since have had a contractor come in and confirm the tub/shower is still leaking into the ceiling.

Dear Melanie, I spoke to your mother after we had sent our service tech out for the repair. Although it was outside the warranty period, we did not charge him to come out. The specific conversation I had with your mother, was being that the ceiling was lathe and plaster, it was unlikely it would need to be repaired after 1 noticeable leak in 4 years; being more durable than standard drywall. I suggested before jumping to conclusions, that we wait until it dries (As at that time, she told me that we had fixed the leaking). I gave her my direct phone number and had not heard anything since then. I told her that if there was staining after it dried, I would send a guy out to spot treat the leak with Kilz and paint. I have not heard any follow-up since then from your mother. If it is still leaking, we would like the opportunity to remedy it and take care of her. You mother should still have my direct cell phone number. If not, please e-mail me direct at [email protected] Thank you, Marc Ganser

Today 10/27, I personally visited with ******************** to investigate if the leak was indeed caused by work we provided. I check the access panel to the plumbing, septic drain, water lines, and brought a thermal imaging camera as well as a moisture meter with me. With all my diagnostics, I could not find any plumbing leaks and residual staining left from prior leaks since we did the bathroom 4 years ago.I measured out the staining on the ceiling from the kitchen (Immediately below the bathroom), from wall to wall to find out exactly with measurements where the water was coming down. What I found, is that when the shower is being used, water is getting outside of the bath tube and on the floor, pooling and coming in through the floor baseboard/flooring/tube transition.Based on my conversations with the customer, the leak only showed up for the first time in four years since we did the bathroom. Since then, her kids moved in with her and her grandkids. The day it leaked, per ***** her daughter, was when her son was the fourth person that day to use the shower that day. Due to it being a saturating leak through the floor, it took time to show up on the kitchen ceiling. It is my decisive conclusion based on evidence, measurements, and location of the leak; and seeing the water physically coming at that corner junction where the shower curtain and tub transition, this is where the water came from.I recommended the owners purchase either a shower door or insure water is wiped off the floor when they are done bathing or showering.
