On March 30 I came into Midas on ****************. after speaking with ****** the manager for this location I explained I just had my upper and lower control arms installed and needed an alignment. Well they started the alignment and only completed a portion of it which was the total alignment, I was then told that I needed other hardware to complete the alignment which I was not told about before they started, I was just told well it looks like they are doing the alignment after they had it in the air for 10 minutes. I was then charged the full amount of the alignment After only partially finished. The manager said he would help me locate the parts it has been a day and he has no luck. I contacted **** as well as other auto shops and alignment shops and this part is no longer produced, I did not want to deal with Midas anymore. I have had too many issues regarding service contacted ****** today and asked for a refund. He said there is no way he can give a refund for partial work done, I dont believe that I should pay for a full alignment when only a small portion of it was completed, I am looking for my money back, and I will never be going back to again, I was also into filling out a good review on ****** before I left under the impression that everything will be fine. I completely understand why this location is literally in the worst part of *********. Please refund my $128.17 that paid for on my ***** Fargo debit card.

The customer requested to have an alignment performed. After the initial adjustment, it was found that the customer needed centric adjustment bolts. This was communicated with the customer. The customer declined to have the centric bolts to be replaced. The customer was advised of the need to replace the bolts. He wanted the alignment to be done as best as possible. The customer then put a complaint and fabricated lies about the store. He also put in a BBB complaint to strong-arm Midas to give a refund. The district manager contacted the customer and the customer error was very rude. He was recording the conversation without permission. The customer then made the statement that he knows who I am and has my information. The customer then sent an ominous text message to my phone of a screenshot of my name and number. This customer is crossing the line of harassment. I filed a police report due to the nature of this customers behavior.

Midas has had my truck for 9 weeks. I got one (1) call from *********, not giving an update, instead saying they haven't had it in the shop and an ultimatum to have it moved. I literally tell them fine, either they can tow the truck back, or remove the part that needs to be remanufactured, I'll do it myself. Now 10 weeks in and I get the same call from the owner ****, with an ultimatum they will tow it off the lot by the end of the week. Says it's not protocol to tow trucks back to the owner. That means waiting 10 weeks, never getting the truck inside and quitting is protocol. Very spiteful to pay to tow the car to the impound yet not just tow it back to me. Same cost to them, if they even pay for internal tows at all.If you can't fix it, then don't waste 8 weeks, and everyone moves on.Starts questioning me if I think I can fix it. I used to work at *********** famous motorcycle company, so yes, I can fix it. For convenience I decided not to do it.Starts arguing about the business sense in them towing it to me, yet says they have the business sense to tow it to the impound. He disregards the facts of waiting 10 weeks, my responsibility to get the truck there, and now we're in the busy season.I ask if he runs his other shops like this, that was a mistake. That deleted the 'passive' from 'passive aggressive.'Totally different situation if they would have paid to pick it up, or told me two weeks in.I paid $100 to get the truck towed there, and $100 to tow it away. I want my $200 back. This happened this winter. Sept to Dec.They committed to diagnosing and repairing my truck. Told me they can work on diesel engines, late model.Complete neglect is the nature of the dispute. The business and it's representative has not tried to resolve at all. Only have been given fake remorse, such as "sorry you 'feel' that way," not sorry for our neglect, and here's a credit for your costs and wasted patience, effort, and trust.

The customer did have his vehicle towed to the shop back in September of 2022. The store looked at the vehicle outside since it's a heavy vehicle and was not able to push it inside the building. After several attempts to find the issue, we were not successful. The store attempted to contact the customer. They tried to leave messages and with no success of hearing from the customer. It wasn't until we stated in a message that we will have to report it as abandoned did he call back. The customer was upset that we were not able to fix the vehicle. The customer demanded that we pay to have it towed back to his home. He was explained that we are not responsible for towing it back. The customer was very rude and made unprofessional remarks. At that time, we ended all communications. The customer tried to enter complaints with the corporate office, but his story was fraudulent in an attempt to receive money. If this matter was important, why has it taken well over a year to file a complaint with the BBB. We will not be entering any further comments on this very fraudulent complaint.

On July 11, 2023 I went to Midas in *************** ********* to get a front wheel alignment on my 2015 ***** equinox. The manager there name ***** told me that my vehicle was in a red zone or something a paper that he showed me and that it was difficult for him to complete the wheel alignment but if I left my vehicle they would get it done, so I left my vehicle, I seen a gentleman takeoff in my vehicle because I was next-door. He was gone in my vehicle for about 45 mins. They proceeded to put my vehicle on the rack to work on it. I explain to ***** that I wanted to see the paper to make sure that they were able to complete the wheel alignment. He failed to do that, and had to put the vehicle back *****************, and was very upset about this, he explained to me that it wasnt his fault that I didnt have factory bolts on my vehicle and they had to torch my bolts, my car had everything manufactured on there. He proceeded with this paper stating that he was able to do it and charge me $******,. I paid that amount, but notice before I pulled out the lot that my right tire was making a loud noise and it was pulling to the right/ lft leaning. I immediately called corporate because I asked ***** for corporates number, and he refused to give it to me. I spoke with *************************** and explained the situation to him and told him that I would be taking my vehicle to a ***** dealer so that I can have it diagnostic to find out exactly what they did. He agreed and told me that he would handle everything I took my vehicle to **************** on Friday, July 14, 2023 and got an estimate for my front end. There is a $90 fee for that. Plus I had to pay $158.23 for another wheel alignment, because it was dangerous to drive like that. Also, I was told that I needed front sway bar links because they are very loose and dangerous. It could brake. This cost $354.48. I was told by their district manager, **** that I will only get ****** if I sign a waiver.

The store offered to refund the alignment, but she declined, I explained to her that the damage prior to the alignment was the cause of the problems in her vehicle, the customer wants more compensation and to have her car fixed for free, this was explained to the customer, and she did not understand. The store should have declined to offer an alignment and check more specifically what was causing the car's problem and offer her a diagnosis to avoid this situation. I was able to reach the customer and offered the alignment refund. I clarified that a waiver of liability would have to be signed in order to process the refund. She is threatening to take us to court because she thinks something was damaged on her vehicle that already had an alignment issue. The customer story has changed multiple times. There was never any mention of the store employee driving the vehicle for 45 minutes. This is also a fabricated lie. We don't test drive alignments for more than 5 minutes. The customer came into the store on 7/17/2023, to get the refund. She was given the waiver to sign, ***** declined to sign it. I have text messages to support my statement. This is ****** poor attempt to commit fraud against a well-established Automotive Facility.

I am not in agreement with what this company is saying and how theyre slandering my name saying Im trying to get over on them. I also took my vehicle to another location and they to try to rip me off and I have proof of that. I also have proof of the worker on video saying that he had to weld something on my vehicle, so Im not lying about anything. I am not in agreement with what this company slandering my name and not paying for the damages done to my vehicle. I also took this vehicle to another location and they to try to rip me off and I have proof of that I also have proof of the worker on video saying that he had to weld something on my vehicle, to say that Im lying is unprofessional. My car is very well maintained, and I have receipts to prove anything that was ever repaired on my vehicle. This was not a problem before I brought it to midas and they should be held responsible for all of the fees that I had to pay to repair my vehicle. I wont my total of $672.11 that was paid to repair my vehicle back to original state. I have more receipts to upload, but I cant upload them. Ill try again these other ones from ***** and the other auto place that had to repair everything. I had to have a new diagnostics done because of them and then because of them the damage is repaired that they did.

I provided the necessary information to dispute the customers claims. There was no welding of any part of the vehicle. They used a torch to loosen the ***** jam nuts on the tie rod ends. That was it. The customer is trying to state that we touched the sway bar links and other parts. This is not necessary to perform an alignment. The customer clearly states that she will continue making complaints until she gets what she wants. Keep in mind, she came to us because her vehicle was having an alignment issue. We didn't cause the issue.

The customer in question came into the store with a brake noise on 9/22/2021. During the free inspection it was determined that the rear brake caliper failed. This caused the rear brake pads to wear out and caused damages to the rear rotors. The store originally replaced brakes all around back in 12/2020. The rear calipers were not replaced. The customer also indicated that her tire was leaking after it was repaired. Keep in mind that the customer never brought it to the stores attention that she was still experiencing problems with the tire. If it had we would of repaired it no questions asked. The customer was quoted for replacement for the rear calipers and warranty on the pads. The customer responded with anger and decided to file a complaint on the store. District Manager contacted the customer and made a reasonable compromise with discounting the repair by $200.00. The customer stated that she would need to think about it. A few weeks later the customer contacted the District Manager on his cell phone asking to have the brakes replaced at the price discussed. The District Manager set up the appointment. The customer dropped the vehicle off at the Menomonee Falls location. The Store Leadership Team made 100% sure that there was nothing else wrong with the rear brakes before calling the customer with authorization. While speaking with the customer she decided to decline the repairs because she can have it repaired cheaper somewhere else. The customer became irate once again. Nonmatter the circumstances customers should never have the right to verbally abuse and belittled employees. The customer was treated with kindness and respect the entire time. The customer is using every tool at her disposal to tarnish the reputation of the Menomonee Falls Location. Our goal is to make sure all customers are happy.

I will most definitely be filing further documentation on this as the report that I have read are not completely accurate - I am currently getting all my documents together - as 1 of the locations advised me of something else and the manager at that store wrote up a completely different report before he suddenly was no longer an employee.  I have had 2 brake inspections done which prove to be quite interesting.  Not to mention the original manager who worked on my truck was also demoted to just a service tech.  I am not tarnishing anyone - I just feel that I as a customer should 1. Not be degraded and 2. I should also receive the merchandise and services I paid for.  I handled it in a professional manage and at no time became belligerent.  I will follow up with the time line and my documentation as to how this/myself have been treated including being told to rent a car.
      Thank you

The customer in question is attempting to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. We have made a very fair and respectful offer to replace the customers brakes at a reasonable price. The Sr ******** and ********s both tried to speak with the customer. She began to yell and talk over us. The customer tried to state that her brakes were also checked at a Midas that was part of our franchise. This was also false and untruthful. She then hung up on the both of us. This isn't someone wanting to talk thing out. I have this all on recording. The customer wants free *********************** and is willing to slander anyone's name in the process. We are willing to take all legal actions if necessary to prevent further lies from being spread.

Once again we have clarified everything in great detail. We have been honest and willing to work with the customer in question. Unfortunately the customer wants her own pricing and that's not how it works. We honored the brake pad warranty and gave discounts but the customer declined it. The Sr ******** of Operations tried speaking with the customer and she was absolutely rude to him. The customer used profanity and decided to hang up. We will not be responding and commenting on this any further. Once aging if we need to take legal action then we will.

      Best Regards.

I feel that this is starting to become an attack on Midas. We have answered all questions with honesty. The customer is fabricating stories to obtain free services. We have tried multiple times to resolve the matter within reason. The customer has denied all attempts. The customer is verbally abusive and we shouldnt have to deal with such abuse.

We will not be answering any further questions regarding this customer. The customer has slandered our good name and this has gone far enough.

      Best Regards
