During or large project, GSI was great to work with. We were in direct contact with the owner and he let us direct the project however we wanted. When there were hickups (as expected in all large projects), GSI took responsibility and fixed the issue.GSI General Inc. Response

Just when I thought that I would not find a great roof contractor, GSI General Inc was referred by my insurance company. GSI was generous to honor the estimate given by my insurer and because roof replacement is very expensive I appreciate that. It was amazing that the work on a 2600+ sqft home was completed within 2 days. GSI staff is hard working and efficient. Not only was the roof completed by the estimated completion date, they left no mess whatsoever. Although, ihad some trouble with getting my insurance checks on time, GSI stuck with me through the process which lessened my stress levels. Great working with them.

Thank you GSI for all you've done in putting my home back together. Your staff has been very outstanding in their hard work. My house is looking very good. Whatever I needed the staff was very understanding to my needs. I want to thank you Mr. ***** for all he has done in getting the job done in a timely matter. Every time I would visited the jobsite the staff was nice and always kept material and trash organize for safety concerns. I've been working with Ben over 10 years and the first time I worked with him he was always sensitive to my needs.

This contractor is a fraud. He was hired to complete a wind claim through a reputable insurance company in April. He did not start until two days prior to the proposed completion date. Completed within 3 weeks and has been endorsed his payment via insurance. There are numerous unsigned change work orders, constant adjustments in invoices. He has submitted fraudulent invoices for repairs in which he has not completed for payment therefore the insurance company will not speak to the contractor and will not pay out the additional 10,000 he claims he is owed. Sorce Services rolloff dumpster remains in my yard for 4 months now. He has issued a fraudulent lien in which he will take no action on as he has to prove he is owed 10,000. He was offered 2,300 to remove the rolloff dumpster which according to my attorney is more than reasonable. Sorce has also been notified of his attempts to defraud a consumer. There is even documented evidence from both the insurance company and contractor of fraud and admittance of fraud. Sanitation services are now involved as per my attorney this is a tactic bad contractors use to defraud consumers. He believes the insurance company can be made to pay R/O fees in which is contract states he is not nor did he use enough skilled traded to qualify on a siding job and gutters. I do not need to mediate as I have retained an attorney and all communications as well. All documents have been reviewed. The actual workers drink on the job, there are Modelo bottles in the rolloff. Electricians play belligerent music and show up with brown bags of liquor. Half painted awning were left 12+ hrs. Once he got his last check from the insurance company, he did not return. We are 45 days out for the lien and 4 months since job start to finish. Also the lien includes the rolloff dumpster in which he contracted and siding which has already been submitted for claim. Next up...litigation and removal of rolloff dumpster by company or city, whoever gets here first!

GSI General, **** was first contacted on October 30th, 2021 via text by **************** for a quote for a wind restoration job. GSI General, **** prepared an estimate and contract for the work in the amount of $30,889.54 and presented this to **************** as well as the insurance adjuster.**************** signed the contract on April 2nd, 2022. The contracted completion date was May 5th, 2022 pending availability of materials. GSI General, **** requested **************** to verify the siding color on April 5th, 2022. **************** was informed on April 18th that her siding would take two weeks to be delivered which would extend the contract deadline. The first materials were purchased on April 18th, 2022.On May 9th, **************** expressed she wanted work done outside of the contracted scope of work, specifically two exterior doors, two security doors and locks. These additions would constitute a change order, which is standard industry practice, as well as extend the completion deadline. **************** refused to sign the change order, however, we have record of confirmation and approval by **************** to complete the work. On May 18th, **************** expressed a concern regarding the awning being left outside in her back yard. That concern was addressed immediately. The awning was outside because it had been painted and needed to dry. We moved the awning to the garage that same evening.Substantial completion of all contract work was May 23rd, 2022. On May 24th, 2022 **************** informed GSI General, *** that a check had arrived in the amount of $22,000. GSI then advised ****************, that the amount was not the amount of the signed contract. She stated that the insurance company was not going to pay the full contracted amount and suggested I reach out to the insurance adjuster for the balance of payment. **************** has a 535 match insurance policy. GSI General, *** has filed an intent to lien as is our right under ********* lien law. GSI General, **** is willing to accept a reasonable payment prior to September 12th to settle this matter. We have suggested that we go through mediation with the BBB. **************** has declined. When **************** informed GSI General, *** she was not going to pay the balance of the contract we stopped the close-out of this project, including having the dumpster removed. ****************** claims of fraud and drinking on the job are completely false. GSI General, *** has all documentation including the signed contract, change orders, email and text correspondence with **************** and the insurance adjuster, receipts, and time stamped photos to verify and back up our response.Customer Response

This contractor is a fraud. He has no signed documentation from me indicating no such work order. This was a home insurance claim for siding from wind damage. Your payment was ****** which has been paid as the estimate you claim is invalid. I am required to pay a **************************************************************** relation to your attempt to defrauded the insurance company an d the consumer. You did not remove the dumpster it remains on the property and has now caused damages that can be litigated against. If photos could be upload, I would include. You are not owed beyond **** dollars as documented with the insurance company who paid the claim. You submitted false invoices for tree removal that remains. You served you fraudulent lein almost 45 days ago...submit it if you are owed money. You can't because it's Swiss cheese. I even have statements from neighbors about the workers you employ. The rolloff dumpster is still in the back blocking my driveway, staining and breaking the concrete. How is that? The Modelo bottles remain also. Your best bet is to move it expeditiously as your response can be used in correct. You have the burden of proof...the ball is in your court but no you want to try to scam. Why were you upset when I contacted an attorney? That's documented too and your lack of reCustomer Response

And your lack of response. You forgot this driveway is on an easement. You have no lein to submit that is valid. You were offered payment of **** in which you refused and tried to have me convince they insurance company to pay what they had already told you they were not. Maybe I should call a news crew and another police report with the city for abandonment and sanitation issues. We put no food or beverages in their just your workers. Thank you for your prompt fraudulent response and more supporting documentation.Customer Response

The ***************** in question is ************************* and the claims adjuster ********************* has also been forwarded your response **************. He too stated you were only due ***** dollars and the claim has been closed. There are pictures on file as recent as last week through the city Sanitation Services to reflect your whole lie of removal and not trying to defraud the consumer. There is also a complaint for the ***** Services that mimics these aforementioned statements on the non BBB member. I wonder why. There is nothing to mediate. I have tried to negotiate for the sake of removal of the roll off and cutting down of the tree. No response from you since July 20, 2022 when I told you all those fraudulent documents had been reviewed and I had retained an attorney. Do you not remember threatening to have your attorney call the consumer to demand who had been retained? I forgot to mention you giving my business number to some women in ******* to also persuade me to pay you monies you are not owed. Doesn't matter you commented it all via text and email communications. You plan to submit the lein, I hope you do so as those do expire and then what will be your lie and excuse?. Even quicker when they are not valid and can not be submitted. There are numerous copies shared amongst the insurance company and attorney. Up next, I will be reporting you to your licensing board. The more documentation and photos, the merrier. You have no photos with all the work completed and the dumpster removed because it remains. You have until the end of this week to remove this dumpster and receive the amount owed of ******* or I will continue on my plight for justice.
