When I first started working as a contractor for Manpower Group, they sent me an email a week after I started saying that I entered I was a Military Spouse, and that in order for them to move forward with my tax forms they need documentation supporting that, and asked for specific forms. I then emailed back and said that box was marked by mistake, I am single. They then respond and say Thank you.I am now seeing that I owe $1700 to the *** because my marital status is Married when I emailed back and said I am single. They never changed my status, which is now causing me to owe.I email and ask them what happened, they said because I didnt update the form that I am single they didnt change it. I say to them I was unaware I still had to update the form if I just told you all I am single, and she never said in the email I still had to update it, she just said, thank you. Also, if they were unable to move forward without the proper documentation stating Im a military spouse, how did they move forward saying ** married? They cant do that without proper forms. Because of a mistake they made and never fixed, I now have to owe $1700 that I do not have. What I would like is the $1700 from them, that I now have to owe.I also uploaded screenshots of the email thread.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

When I responded to the email saying I am not married, the box was marked by mistake the only response back I received was Thank you. I assumed that if I still needed to fill a form out, that a response would have been Thank you, but you still need to fill out the form as we are not able to make adjustments for you. I did not know what I also still had to fill out the form even though I wrote it in the email that it was incorrect. If you all would have told me I still had to, then I would have. Also, the email stated you cannot move forward with my tax documents until I have provided proof I am a military spouse, which I did not. I have spoken to a tax attorney and called the *** and they have also confirmed this. I also find it very odd that when I submit my complaint to the BBB, my assignment through you all ended earlier than it was supposed to.

They need to suppress me from their job seeker lists across ***********'ve had many emails back before Thanksgiving. I am no longer on indeed.com

In may of 2023 I was contacted by a recruiter via text message by the name of *********************** out of the ******** office about an employment opportunity at P&G. I told her that I was interested. She then proceeded to call me later that evening to speak more about the opportunity and give me further details. After the conversation I agreed that this opportunity was good for me so I accepted. She then proceeded to send me emails with onboarding instructions. I finished all on boarding paper work within a timely fashion. I took the drug screen background and waited for a response for an orientation date. A week went by and I heard nothing so I reached out to ***************** and she said that they were waiting on my background check. A few days go by and when I didnt hear anything back I kind of gave up hope and forgot about it she never called back. Fast forward to February 5th 2024 I get another text message about an employment Opportunity at P&G from **************************** and once again I told her I was interested we talked on the phone like the time before I went for hearing and drug screening like the time before and she said once everything is done shell contact me or I can reach out to her for status inquiries. The next day I called her and received no answer so I left a message about my concerns in hopes she would give me a call back. Another day passed and no return call. I then tried to call again and there was no answer. I then sent a text message explaining my concerns about the position so I could move forward with other opportunities if they did not want to hire and there was no response to that. I think its very unprofessional to have a candidate take time out their day and handle everything on their end only to be ignored with no explanation. I am not sure if this is how manpower group does business or is this just recruitment. Ive attached a timeline of supporting documentation some of us have responsibilities and dont need the red tape.

On 12/4/23 I was contacted by a recruiter named ********************* regarding a job at a company called Radial. I was offered the position and accepted it. I filled out all onboarding paperwork and scheduled an appointment to fill out I-9 paperwork on 12/14/23 at 10am. I arrived at the office at 10am and the office was closed with a sign on the door saying appointments only and it gave a number to call. There were also four other associates, like me, who showed up for an appointment. Over the course of the next hour, all of us tried contacting the number posted on the door but to no avail. I left several messages at the number and other Manpower numbers, including my recruiter. Another associate with me was able to get ***** of his recruiter, who stated that there had been a bomb scare and they were all working from home. Finally, at 10:50am I got ahold of someone at the posted phone number. She was extremely rude and quick with me. She stated that the Radial position had been filled and that nobody had been in the office for the last week and nobody would be in the office for a couple more weeks. I asked her why myself and the other associates all had appointments today and why our recruiters did not inform us not to come but she had no answer. I asked one of the other associates waiting with me if she was getting a job at Radial to which she answered no. So some of these other people had appointments unrelated to that position. I asked the woman on the phone if I could speak to someone in charge and she told me she was working from home. There is so much contradictory information here and it's impossible to get a live person on the phone from Manpower. I leave messages, send emails and texts but never get an answer. I drove very far today for an appointment I had scheduled and have confirmation of.

I was recently hired through manpower for a position at Cummins emission solutions, it was about a month of hiring process and everything was good, mind you I have kids and a fianc in school so I waited to quit my other job before I was told by manpower I was for sure hired so I did that and started work last Monday. I worked for a week and then was contacted by *************************** saying I could no longer be employed by manpower due to having a misdemeanor on my record.

I started working for Manpower as a temporary employee working for a company called Danfoss. At the start of my employment I signed a contract that included my pay at 17$ per hour. Things were going good for 2 months and then everyone under Manpower thats working at Danfoss received a email stating that Manpower had messed up the starting pay and that they will reduce it .************* each week until it was back down to the regular pay of $16 per hour. I was okay with that since I spoke directly to *********************** and they assured me that Manpower had spoken with them about it and both parties agreed that the mistake was on Manpowers behalf. Manpower had told *********************** that they would not deduct pay that was lost on their end. Well earlier 06/07/2023 today everyone working for Manpower at Danfoss was complaining about their Paystub being $200-400$ short. My own Paystub is $238.13 short, put under ********** post tax deductions in my Paystub. Now my grievance is how is all this Legal. I signed a contract, both Danfoss and Manpower agreed that the mistake was on Manpowers end and they are doing some not so good things with peoples money.

The onsite recruiter and Danfoss HR shared this information with associates that their checks would be affected one last time as they had been overpaid and the funds would be taken back.  There are nor never been signed contracts on Manpower or Danfoss with associates on pay rates.  This is all resolved now and their checks are no longer affected by overpayment.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.  Thank you!
