************************* quoted me $3500 for work on my rental property including installing LVP in kitchen and pantry, installing tile in bathroom, insulate and drywall a room, frame in a bedroom in the basement and finish up paint and a stair railing. ****** was paid $1500 down for his labor. He said the job would be done in a week. The progress did not show this to be on track, and I found 2 dirty diapers in the property the next day after he first worked. The project needed to be completed for other trades to come in. The day before the project was due, I asked ****** if the house would be ready for carpet and appliances and he promised it would be done end of day Tuesday, paint and all. Wednesday, no one was on site, none of the projects were completed. I informed ****** that I had to use another contractor to finish as the deadline wasn't met, and I estimated he worked 10 hours at $25/hr for $250, and asked that he meet me at the property with the remaining $1250 I paid him for work he did not do. He said ok to meeting me at 3pm. He did not show up. The next day he sent his friend to get the crow bar and 2 other tools they left. I explained that I'd be happy to return the tools once the down payment was returned. He then started threatening to come to the property to collect his tools. This is not a legitimate business. I'd like my deposit back and an appropriate rating placed on this person's business. He does not have his own truck or tools, he did not measure any of the projects, he did not keep any of his commitments in time or work. The floor he partially installed is not finished and is not installed properly. My complaint is to see if it will get my funds at all repaid and to also protect the rest of the community from this unscrupulous business person. He changed his business name and took off the ability to leave reviews on his business ******** page when I let him know I was going to share my experiences.
