I contracted with **** of All N One for snow removal at my parents home in *********. I provided him with a $55 deposit to secure services, with the understanding that he'd send photos of the completed work every time, because I am out of town and can't verify that it was done. In the fall, I asked him separately for leaf removal services and they were provided as requested and the work was done well.After the season's first snow in ********* on Saturday and Sunday January 1st and 2nd, my parents notified me on Monday January 3rd that no one had come to remove the snow or salt. I texted **** on Monday January 3rd to notify him, and he responded that evening that he'd make sure someone went by their house first thing the next morning on January 4th. and that he'd send photos per our agreement. He said that the house was unfortunately missed on his route, and that he'd make sure it didn't happen again.I texted him in the afternoon on Tuesday January 4th asking for the photos, and there was no response.On Wednesday January 5th I called him in the morning, and his cell phone is not set up to accept voicemails, so I was unable to reach him. Wednesday, I also texted again in both the morning and evening, saying that if he wasn't able to provide photos, to just let me know that the work was completed. Again, no response. I texted again on Thursday morning requesting that he provide an update, and if he wasn't going to shovel to please refund my $55 deposit. I ended up driving from ******* to ********* to shovel my parent's property. I have twice requested the $55 refund through the CashApp he required me use for payment, and have received no response.I have attached the original invoice and request for deposit, as well as my text chair with ****.I would not recommend his company.Business response

I am currently hospitalized due to Covid and Diabetes complications. A crew lead was assigned to property and attempted snow removal services but was already completed when arrived. We have 24 hours to complete snow removal. Deposit of $55 is a retainer fee which get applied to first service. We will like to make things right by providing services next snowfall as well as providing 1 free service due to misunderstanding.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am sorry that you are dealing with health issues, and I wish you a speedy recovery. Regarding the complaint, the lack of communication for an entire week after having an issue is not acceptable. You only responded once I filed a complaint with the BBB 7 days later. Your crew lead should have notified me of what he saw when he went by the property, and I would have corrected him to let him know that only the public sidewalks had been shoveled. Luckily my parents have kind neighbors who shoveled the public sidewalks so that they would not be fined by the Village of ********* for not keeping them cleared after a snowfall. The remainder of the property did not have any snow removal completed...the walkway to the front door and the front stairs, the walkway from the back door to the garage, and the driveway were all still covered with snow when I drove up from ******* on Thursday, a full 96+ hours after the snowfall. I completed the work myself. My parents have chosen a new snow removal service, due to your failure to uphold your part of the contract. Please refund the $55 deposit.
