Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Milwaukee Lockstar LLC due to unresolved issues following a service on May 5, 2024, when I was locked inside my condo. The technician, ***************, arrived promptly and managed to get me out but informed me he was not proficient with residential locks and left without reinstalling the lock despite my repeated requests for assistance. I immediately contacted Milwaukee Lockstar requesting another technician, was promised a callback the next morning, and again on Monday, May 6, neither of which occurred.As a single female living in a high-risk area of Milwaukee with my dog, the lack of a working condo lock leaves me in a vulnerable position. I paid $107 for a service that was not completed, and repeated follow-*** have been ignored. I had Lockstar come to replace a lock that had worn out. When the technician was done with the door, he had replaced the lock cylinder with a new one, but in doing so, he broke the door handle so that the thumb lever and door handle no longer worked. He also bent the metal rod that operates behind the thumb lever and punched a hole in the wood of our door while forcing out the cylinder. The door was left looking bad and not working. I had to hire a new locksmith (Aro ************ who fixed it properly. Lockstar agreed to give me a refund but more than 15 days have gone by and no refund has arrived. They are now ignoring my messages.Business response
