I found a reasonably priced hotel and booked it. During the booking process, it asks when you plan to arrive. We cannot arrive to our hotel until 7pm or 8pm the night of our check-in due to other situations we have to handle first - like getting off work and packing up when we live two hours away. I received an email that the hotel would not be able to accommodate our request to check-in at that time and tried to call them to discuss. However, I have not been able to get in touch with anyone at the hotel at all. There is no answer, we are sent to voicemail regularly. This is extremely bad business. I ended up canceling the reservation and booking elsewhere. However, they have not refunded any of my money. I also do not agree that they get to keep half of my money due to them being unable to accommodate us and our arrival time as that feels like theft.Initial Complaint

My husband and I stayed overnight on Saturday, July 30, 2022. We checked in that afternoon prior to 2 p.m. as we were just staying the night for the ************. When we arrived, there is a handwritten sign on the window to call to check in...very weird and not professional but I called, the voice mail box was full. So I texted...hoping someone would answer soon as we had reservations to the festival as VIP soon. Finally, someone walked towards the door, no uniform but went behind the counter to check me in. Stated the $79 was a deposit (usually normal for any hotel) so I gave him my card...stated it was only going to be a hold. Days later, the deposit was charged. I called, Expedia called, my bank called, no one is answering. Voice mail box is 'full', the text message number ... no one is answering. I just want my $79 deposit back. And because they are not answering the phone, I cannot get any assistance.Initial Complaint

The check in process was really odd.The lady at the front desk called our room to tell my husband she was going to "beat my ass" because I accidentally knocked on the wrong door. This was the only place we used this particular credit card during our stay in *********. Conveniently 2 weeks later we get a charge for $200 from a pizza shop 10 minutes away from this motel. They don't even have a working phone number.
