Was looking at apartments, serviced by ***************************, from Bartsch Management, LLC. I completed an application in which I received an email stating that I would be contacted in 72 hours with a decision. To date, I have yet to hear back from the Company re: decision. After several attempts to reach someone, to no avail, I have yet to speak with anyone. I paid 2 $30 application fees, in which one was misleading. It mentioned a different company but when the payment was confirmed it was actually to Bartsch Management for a second time. Please review the documents provided for further details. I would like a refund of both fees. I have already found an apartment via someone else and no longer have need for any further assistance from Bartsch. Just want my money back. No longer interested in any other involvement with Bartsch and ANY of their affiliates. Thank you very much!Business response

Regretfully, we were unable to find the prospect an apartment that fits her needs. We were able to speak with her and provide her with a full cash refund that she did pick up.Customer response

********************** *****,
Thank you so much for submitting this complaint about your experience with us. We did look into the situation. Our records indicate you attended an open house with us on June 20th, 2023. You then applied for the apartment later that afternoon. Several applications came in before yours, and one was approved for residency. Following fair housing laws, we accepted an application submitted before yours. We let you know about the apartment being leased and offered you another one of our homes within the same apartment community. Our bank informed us on June 22nd, 2023, that the payment you submitted for the application fee of $30 was returned to us for non-sufficient funds. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you the deposit as we did not collect one from you.Regards,

I applied to a property unit and pay $70.00 nonrefundable fee. Gave the rental company my information and rental company reached out to the old landlord on file twice and denied me because of no rental history. Yet, they called him twice. That denial was unacceptable because ************************* lied on their reasoning of denying my application. How are the people going to find a place if we keep paying all these rental fees and rental companies are not being honest and denying with false reasoning without refunding fees as an option. It's a rip off! It's already hard house hunting, but this is unfair. I would like a refund of my money.Business response

Dear, Diamond Bratchett Comic
We are unable to refund your application fee. Our application fee is only $25 per person over 18. We did not collect the $70 you are asking to be reimbursed.
You did fill out an application with us. During the examination of that application, several places were found where information was either falsified or incorrect. The landlord you listed as your current landlord was not the existing homeowner and has not been since January 2022. Upon further examination, we found two places you have lived since that home. One of those homes has you in collections for money owed.
We contacted you to review this, at which time you hung up on us.
Unfortunately, we cannot verify your rental history, and you falsified information on your application. We cannot approve you for one of our homes and cannot return the application fee.Customer response

I signed a one year lease for a 1 bdrm apartment with this leasing agency on Sept.1st. during this time, I noticed numerous dead flies on the kitchen floor, a living room blind that was not put up. The property manager ***** stated that I could leave the keys with her, to give to what I presume was the mainataince man , to take care of flies/blind. During this visit from the maintenance guy, he proceeded to throw away : one cardboard box containing essential clothes, a pair of sandals, a bag of dirty laundry including my work pants, a queen ********* and a pillow with a plastic zipped top bag containing : my last 2 W2's, medical bills/receipts from a recent lung surgery, almost 3 years of rent receipts/letters/envelopes/evidence against prior property manager for a potential suit involving harassment/intentional infliction of emotional distress.I took a few days to compress the situation prior to emailing property manager on the topic. I've never received a response.
