      I have been buying this subscription for a family member for 4 previous years through Amazon. This year Amazon said they no longer support magazines so I had to subscribe through the main Channel Guide website. I paid $40 in November for the next year. My family member kept getting notifications that their subscription was expiring. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service at Channel guide. First they told me they have no record of him ever getting their magazine and then they told me his subscription expired in Jan of 2023. When I pushed that I could look up receipts they said a manager looked into it and he was receiving the subscription by mistake the entire last year. They also wanted to know why I didnt have the subscription confirmation number. Who keeps that for their records?? Well I would suggest anyone using channel guide writes it down because this company will argue that they didnt take your money unless you have that.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  The information you are asking for, which is the same info I gave repeatedly over the phone is:

      ***************************;

      1412 *******

      ***********, ** 57062

      Regards,

      ********,

      I am sorry our call center agent/supervisor could not help you. I found his subscription record. I work directly for the publishing office of Channel Guide Magazine. I'd like to get more specific information from you. Could you please call me directly Monday thru Friday 8am - 4pm at ************.

      I do know that Amazon has gotten out of the magazine subscription business. I am sure we can resolve this by talking on the phone.

      Thanks,

      Apologize for the delay, it took quite a bit of work to sort out all the checks and subscriptions. When someone mails in $10 here and $5 there, it can become confusing for the subscriber to understand where their subscription is at. Ive tried to summarize the checks and what issues were served by check below.
      Check ***** $30 and check ***** $10 applied to a 1-yr renewal and 1-issue renewal, serving July 2021-July 2022
      Check ***** $10 and check ***** $10 applied to a 1-yr renewal starting with Sept 2022 [leaving $15 balance]
      Check ***** $15 should satisfy that remaining balance bringing his expiration to August 2023

      Im not seeing that he lost 2 years of subscription. I have made sure our subscription department has his expire as August 2023. The September issue has already gone to press, so his mailing label expire says Feb 2023 [which I do believe is wrong]. October issue will reflect the correct expire of Aug 2023.

      To avoid confusion, it would be beneficial to send the full amount in one check [$35] or complications could arise in the future. Thank you for your patience while I sorted this out with our subscription department.
