You can get better spices for less from other places. Penzey’s isn’t even accredited by the BBB. They also won’t answer if a product has lead in it like turmeric. That should tell you something about the quality of the overpriced spices. They also won’t tell where they are sourced from. I like to do research. Also horrible customer service. If you write the owner on how you disagree with his toxic political views, he’ll take your whole family off the email list. I thought he liked money. He’ll also argue with you if you email him and insult you. Give it a try! He’s easy to rile up. I mentioned this to a store associate once and they looked nervous to comment. In short, don’t give this man who looks like a human thumb the business. He’s full of hate. You can get better spices elsewhere, pay less, and leave politics out of it.Review from Maia M

Used this company till I saw the hate filled political rant. I don't care what your politics are but keep them out of your business. When you are so filled with vitriol and toxins that youcan't keep your mouth shut, then maybe you should close shop and run for the democratic party.Review from Elizabeth R

Need to leave no stars. Obviously the owner doesnt realize people with different political viewpoints enjoy cooking also, maybe even on gas stoves! After noticing the blatant comments about Republicans on this website I like so many others will no longer be shopping here.Review from Cecilia W

I think Penzey's offers a superior quality of spices compared with what I can find in the market. I read other reviews and find that the good reviews talk about the quality of the products, while the bad reviews talk very angrily about how they disagree with the owner's open political and social views. You can figure out what is going on here. I continue buying from them and, btw, I think it is courageous to talk about your views, knowing that by doing so you risk loosing a few customers... not many businesses are willing to do that.Review from Marie B

What a hateful and bigoted owner this business has! Made the mistake of checking their website for a product and there is an entire page spreading hate, divisiveness, and discrimination. Shockingly inappropriate in the 2020s.Review from Rebecca Z

Great products and great customer service. I've had all of my purchases shipped, and in one of my recent packages, two of the jars had loose lids and there were spices spilled in the box. When I reached out to Penzey's, they immediately shipped out replacement jars of the spices, plus some extra trial size bags. I've been very happy with all of the spices I've tried and will be buying from them a lot in the future!Review from Shirley L

No longer shop there. Good spices available from other online businesses at lower cost. Although the owner has toned down his political attacks, it still is very unprofessional and poor business practice. I actually question the mental health of him. Reviews based on dislike of the owner's politics and not the products are childish. Penzeys spices are a must-have for my conservative family members because they are excellent and the staff is always helpful and friendly. My liberal heart loves everything about Penzeys and my conservative family loves their pepper and garlic.Penzeys rocks!!!
