On February 21st I dropped off (4) wheel and tires at my scheduled appointment time which was 8:00AM. I reviewed what needed to be done and confirmed which color of powder coating I wanted applied to my wheels. I was quoted ~ $600.00 to do this which included painting the center caps to match and balancing the tires after paint was completed. I was told that they would be completed the same day. I called at 3:47PM to confirm if they would be ready today and spoke to *****. He indicated that "they are just coming out of the oven and just need the tires installed again". He indicated that they should be ready in ~ (30) minutes. I arrived at ~ 4:20PM and was told that they were having an issue with getting (1) of the wheel caps back on due to "clear coat in the threads". ***** went back to the shop to see what was going on and within a few minutes I was told that they were ready. I paid and they loaded into my truck. When I arrived home that evening to install on my vehicle I noticed that the wheel that they had an issue with required a HUGE amount of effort to get the center cap off. They are never intended to be this tight as it's just cosmetic. After I removed it the threads on the wheel and the center cap itself were clearly damaged and falling apart. It appears that it was forced into place. On that same evening I contact ***** to let him know what the problem was. He called me back at 11:25AM on 2/22/22 and assured me that they would get "it fixed right and would cover the costs." During several more phone calls ***** indicated that he was working on it, but to date has never indicated to bring the wheel back in or that parts were on order etc. I left ***** a voicemail on 3/7 and a followup text message on their ******** Messenger app. No response. They are VERY expensive wheels for my AMG ******** and were in perfect condition upon arrival. I simply want this wheel repaired and a NEW cap assembly to move on.
