      Pellitteri has decided to price ***** its costumers using a fuel surcharge. After speaking to sales manager he states it is to help off set all rising prices for operations. Per there service contract they can add a fuel surcharge if fuel does rise which is completely understandable. In my case based on there math and mpg for truck they are traveling 90 miles a month to service my dumpster. Im located about a mile from land fill and in the ************* full of there current customers. Pellitteri has decided to take this economic situation and use it to there advantage to make additional profit and hid it behind rise in fuel cost.

      We have addressed the concern directly with **********************. Diesel fuel is the largest consumable of our daily operations. When the price per gallon exceeds the threshold incorporated into our service pricing, this is not an expense that we are able to absorb; therefore, it is passed through as a temporary surcharge, which is outlined in our service agreements. This surcharge fluctuates monthly based on the Midwest average price per gallon of diesel fuel. Pellitteri Waste Systems has a long history of pricing transparency, we notified all our customers in writing 30 days prior to the surcharge being applied, and it is applied uniformly across our customer base.We have not had a fuel surcharge in nearly 7 years while many other companies in our industry always have one. While now necessary, we understand that extra fees are not desirable, and we are optimistic fuel will stabilize in the near future, allowing for this temporary surcharge to be removed.

      Pellitteri has not picked up my garbage on 2 separate occasions now. The first time, I reported the incident to BBB, and it was not resolved. I called the company 3 days in a row and was told they would come back. They never did. I had to take my garbage out to a dump in the country. Today, 1/31/22, I put out the correct garbage bin again. And it was not overflowing; was put out on time. They again did not pick up my garbage, but they did get my neighbors. This is a sanitary issue, as I have nowhere to put my garbage once the bin is full. (It cannot wait for the next week's pick up.) I do not have the means to bring it out to a dump this time. I really NEED this company to pick up my garbage! If they cannot accommodate this, can they give me a second bin for all the times they don't pick it up?

      The customer also contacted our office directly on 1/31. We came back on 2/1 to empty the container. On 2/14, we followed up with the customer to make sure the last few services have gone better. They indicated that service has been satisfactory since the 1/31 incident. We discussed possible reasons for the missed service and they are very graciously trying different placement options in case that was a factor. We asked the resident to please let us know if there are anymore issues. We appreciate their patience and understanding and want to make sure they are collected on their pickup day in the future.
