      Construction cost $55,250 I have already paid $53,000 of the total amount. I had to find my own countertop company since they hired a company that provided very poor quality. Due to this we had a 2-week delay and cost me extra money. I lost out on $2,200 rebate for my appliance because ******* told me to rush out and order and get delivered for Aug, 2021 and my kitchen was pushed to Dec, 2021 making my rebate expired. I paid almost $5,000 to add on refinishing my floors and they look like a horrible DYI project. I paid for upgraded electrical/cabinets and didnt get either. All my cabinets have damage from minor dings and dents to having chinks missing, cracked cabinets, holes they filled, **** spots and stain dripping spots, bowed, gaps The work that has been done is at a DIY level they were not able to install butcher countertop without gaps because my walls are not square. They installed handles as different levels. Between the delays, poor quality of work I want a partial refund as many of the things I will have to call someone else in to repair or replace the work Edge construction did.The calendars given to me by ******* said they would finish my kitchen by Dec 29, 2021. When they finally admitted, they were not going to finish by that date ******* sent email on Dec ***** saying per the contract 75 days from the date the commencing work so per ******* they had until 1/13/22 to finish. However, its now 3/13/22 and my kitchen is not finished and they will not give me a new timeline. I have been reaching out to the Owner ********************* for months with no response when a meeting was set up, he chose to leave prior to meeting time. I want $5,000 for the floors refunded, I want Edge to give me the rebate money I would have gotten should I have been given correct timeline for ordering and deliver $2,200. Due to the quality of work and delays and issues I have had to deal with I am asking for $20,000 to be refunded. Grand total of $27,200 refunded to me.

      I know that what most people would do after getting a review like this, would be to give a pc response. Maybe saying how sorry we were to disappoint you, how we would love to make it up to you. The reality is that working for you has been the worst experience that we as a group have ever had, and if this had happened earlier in my career, I might have tried to get another job. What you have, in spite of how you treated everyone that tried to make you happy, is a brand new beautiful kitchen. The timeline is pushed back because of problems with the countertops. Twice you didn't like the stone match-*** that came out, and we backed you on it. We paid to replace the tops in your kitchen, and gave you a full refund to use as you wanted to. From the start, you did not want any direct contact with anyone that worked on your job. You had microphones and cameras watching our every move, and then every night you sent poisonous emails to us. Nobody that works for me deserves to be treated the way that you treat people. We have been overcoming problems with suppliers, and products for the last 2 years, and homeowners have been great partners with us. I'm sorry that we never got the chance to partner with you. What you need to realize is that problems do come up, especially now, and a team approach actually works to fix them.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      **** is correct I had to install surveillance cameras in my home because the broke my furniture and they all lied about it. It was not until I was able to prove without a doubt that they broke my couch did they finally admit to breaking it.
      I paid $5,000 to have my floors refinished and they have sander circle marks as well as so many sections that are not stained.
      I paid extra to have an air switch installed that I did not get.
      I paid for upgraded cabinets that I did not get.
      I have a plastic covering an old electrical light.
      I have gaps in butcher countertop, bowed, cracked, and damaged cabinets.
      Yes, I have not been happy with the quality of work as Edge feels this is all ok and this kitchen is at a DIY level not a paid construction level.

      I want a partial refund as I have to have the floors redone as well as have someone come in and try to fix many of the issues they created.
      I am able to provide pictures of the issues as well as the contract showing I paid for items.

      We sought a consult & estimate from Edge Construction for a main floor remodel in 3/21. Edge came in $500 below our $50,000 budget. We signed a design contract with them & paid a $1500 design fee with the understanding that we would receive a useable plan for our project. Quotes came in $25,000 overbudget. We asked for an itemized list of quotes to facilitate decision making re: what to eliminate from the scope of the project. We were told this was not an option. We were then told that the design for the fireplace, which the designer had spent the most time on, was not possible due to the original masonry fireplace being structural. Edge did not note this at the original walkthrough. We received no usable plans from Edge and, following a long string of delays and miscommunications, told Edge we did not want to proceed. Edge feels they met the design contract and refused to offer a refund. We are seeking a refund of all or part of the design fee d/t failure to provide any deliverables.
