For Pets Sake hosted a Therapy Dogs International test on January 21, 2023 with an employed trainer, Patti *********** as the evaluator. TDI allowed this bias evaluator in Mukwonago, Wisconsin to only pass dogs she trains, even one that showed aggression during testing session. This is wrong and completely inappropriate. When made aware that the bias and rude evaluator did not pass Hogan, TDI ignored the communication. Multiple attempts have been made to communicate with TDI. No one has bothered to respond. TDI was provided a detailed documentation of the evaluator’s mishandling of the therapy dog test. She went rogue and did her own thing, not following TDI’s own guidelines. At the end of the test, the evaluator stated “well most of the dogs passed the test”. She then walked directly towards one of Hogan's handlers and stated that he failed. The bias evaluator did not address nor make eye contact with Hogan’s second handler, thus we do not know why Hogan did not pass with the second handler. As she passed out the papers for the dogs that did pass, an English Creme aggressively barked/growled at the evaluator when being handed her passing papers. This should have been an automatic failure since aggression was shown. She was awarded papers and can now go into nursing homes with this uncorrected behavior. Hogan has passed his CGC, CGCA, and CGCU all on the first try. How can joy and comfort be spread to those who need it if another dog that showed aggression towards the evaluator passed? TDI is not a reputable nonprofit organization, as they claim to be. They are bias and look the other way when one of their own evaluators acts inappropriately. I am appalled there is now a therapy dog allowed to visit nursing homes and schools that showed aggression and passed the test, while Hogan, did not.. For Pet’s Sake and trainer/TDI evaluator, Patti *********** need to be held accountable for negligence, discrimination, and incompetence.
