We hired Borek Brothers to install a chimney liner in our orphan chimney and also repair some flashing around our functional chimney in the front of our house that had come loose. When we had our home inspected last year before we purchased, Borek had come out and quoted us initially for the chimney liner, and so we decided to go back to them for fresh pricing in November of this year.**** Borek and one other employee came out on Friday November 10th to complete the work. We paid him cash upon completion and he left. It wasn't until about a week and a half later when we saw the complete mess that was left around our front chimney. Instead of actually repairing the flashing, **** globbed on a tar-like sealant that dripped down the chimney and down our roof, destroying shingles and leaving a complete mess and eye-sore. We reached out to him immediately after noticing the issue and he responded stating he "had never seen the sealant drip like that" and agreed via text to come out and clean it up.Thus began a period of **** promising to come out and not showing up. Then he began dodging our phone calls and text messages. We gave hime one final chance to show up yesterday on Saturday 12/2, to no avail. We are now in a position where we are gathering quotes from qualified roofing contractors to see what a cleanup and ACTUAL repair of the flashing will cost. We will be exploring legal litigation in small claims court to fix our roof if we can't come to some sort of resolution for our damages with **** Borek. We are extremely disappointed and upset that we now have a larger mess on our hands. We would appreciate a monetary resolution or we will be forced to seek damages in court.
