My wife and I both signed up separately for memberships. ****** is the new manager and as I signed up, I asked him what membership would be the best on a month to month basis. All ****** said to me over and over and over was "don't worry about anything, I got you. I'm going to save you money." I asked about cancelling and again he said "Don't worry about it, I'm going to sign you up for the plan that saves you the most money and you can cancel anytime." My wife got the exact same treatment and story. Fast forward a few months and I went to the ******* office to cancel my wife (*********) and Is memberships. I explained to ****** that I wanted to cancel. He talked me into putting the accounts on hold for 6 months. The next day I then got a call from either *********************** ****** (general manager) or one of the other manager ladies explaining that my membership could not be put on hold. I explained what had happened and asked her (or you) to cancel our membership. Then, staring in May we started getting charged every 2 weeks. I put in phone call after phone call after phone call to ******. He promised to take care of it, he promised to have general manager *********************** ****** call me and he promised to call me back over and over. None of those things happened and I continued to be charged. During that time, he outright refused to put me in contact directly with *********************** ******. I went to the ******* store last week for some answers and He gave me some more mouth service and gave me *************************** email address.Long story short, the manager, ******, lied to both my wife and I and we unknowingly signed up for a 2 year commitment (that we would NEVER do) and are now trying to be charged $1148.50 each, which is not gone to a collection company. attached is the email string between myself and the *** There were also a few very heated phone conversations with both her and manager ******.
