We contracted with ***************************, owner of Greenshot, on 9/11/2020 to do a lawn install in the spring of 2021 and paid him $1000. He told me we would be first on his list. He sent a text on 4/6/21 stating he planned to start our lawn on 4/26/21. Received another text on 5/10/21 stating he planned to start the next week. I sent him a text on 5/21/21 asking him when he was going to start and he replied "I have 14 other customers ahead of you". He finally started mid June. He put on grass seed on 7/6/21 and I sent him a text on 7/19/21 asking when he was going to finish our yard. He had ordered mulch and stones for garden beds and they sat on the street for a couple of weeks. My daughter and I moved the materials via wheelbarrow as we live in a condo subdivision and complaints were starting to flow in. I received an invoice dated 7/12/21 for a balance due of $12, 238.40 on 7/20/21. The job was not even near completion. On 7/26/21 he sent me a text asking for balance due and I told him I would pay $6,000 at that time and the balance when the job was completed. His invoice states "10% interest will be assessed for all unpaid balances after 90 days." which would be 10/12/2021. He sent a text on 8/4 stating he was not coming again. Got another text on 8/23/21 asking for payment. ******* father backed into our brand new flagpole that was installed in June of 2021 ($600) and I had that replaced at a cost of $450 which I deducted from my final **** as ***** could not repair that. He sent another text on 8/24 asking for payment and said "once I'm paid I'll fertilize, overseed and spray for weeds". On 9/21/21 we received a Notice of Intent to File Claim of Lien via registered mail. I paid ***** in full on 9/24/21 and have not heard a word from him since. He never completed our lawn. I hired TruGreen to kill the weeds, have puddles in my yard, lost 6 arborvitae trees due to poor drainage/missing swale. It cost me approx $700 to fix his mistakes.
