    I bought the Bruno outrider chair lip system 2 hours after buying it. The winch motor burned up and it was stuck in the out position. Now, because of that, it doesn't clear the truck bed when it's going in, or out and is scratched up my truck severely, I know Bruno is Supposed to be sending a new part But I feel like they should have to fix the paint job as well.

    Recently purchased 2 stair lifts from a Bruno distributor in ****, I have serious concerns about a critical safety feature on the equipment. The dealer has come out and said yes there's an issue, but there's nothing they can do about it since its an issue with the rail configuration. I've called Brunos *********** and left 2 messages; they never called back. I would not support this company because customer service is critical, especially for people with disabilities, and it appears they're interested in selling equipment but hearing back from ************* would think a company's number one concern would be the safety of their customers, but that's obviously not the case with Bruno because they never returned your call. I would not recommend this company to purchase a stairlift!

    First Bruno has NEVER left any messages, what is correct is that my 2 messages left at the Brunos corp office was never returned! Action has only taken place since writing to BBB and placing reviews.  

    The installing dealer was out October 4, 2024 (2 techs), they spent 45 mins reviewing the hard stop, made adjustments and left with zero improvement with the serious safety issue.  

    magically now after writing to the above agencies, apparently there is a fix for this and someone is coming out in the next week to take a look at this. 

    Time will tell!

    Bruno makes the very best products. My issue is I have a technical problem with my SAE-2010 stair lift and I cannot get the factory to respond with any technical support. They keep pushing me to their dealer network. The closest dealer is over 100 miles away and they don't want to help me. If these folks are a veteran-owned company, you would think they would want to support a Veteran customer. My rail is about 2 feet too short. I was able to find the same model unit in **********, **. Although the same model number these rail units do not interchange. I just need someone to tell me exactly what I need to order and then I can reach out to dealers anywhere to source the repair part.

    My suggestion would be to call the dealer and let them know the serial number of your unit. 

    Then they will be able to let you know what rail you need.  Also, most dealers may have spare rail at the dealerships.  Rail comes in 8 and 10ft sections and usually needs to be cut to fit.

    I had a tree in my yard that was struck by lighting and it fell on my scooter trailer. it broke the lift shock on the trailer and I need to get a shock so I can get out of the house. Been tied up since last November. I have tried several times to order the shock by the dealers of Bruno will not order it for me unless I bought the lift through them. I cannot buy it through my dealer as they went out of business about 3 to 4 years ago. so now I am stuck with a $6500 scooter lift that can't be used because of one simple part. Bruno has been contacted several times through a call center and told I would be called back and it never happens. I need something done about this.

    I think you may be able to source this spring thru Amazon, all you need is the sizing to be correct.  This would also be the least expensive.

    They have been saying the same thing since the beginning of Jan of this year. Whoever ******** is never contacts me about anything. This is the poorest service i have seen in my 73 years of living. They sold me a $7000 scotter lift and will not let me order a part for it because the dealer I ordered it form is no longer in business and the other dealers will not let me order it because I ordered the lift from a business that went out.

    I purchased two Bruno stairlifts in 06/2020 and 03/2022 for a total of $10K. While using stair lift SN #*********** the seat broke off! The seat base is made of PLASTIC!!! I am way under the recommended weight limit for this particular seat. I have made THREE "escalation attempts" for BRUNO to respond and help me, however, the first escalation went missing, the second escalation was an email passing me off to 101Mobility, the third attempt I demanded a LIVE BRUNO representative to call me. I have not heard from anyone at BRUNO. I have made numerous attempts to have anyone to come out to repair/replace the seat. However, I called numerous companies listed on Bruno's website and on the internet and was told by ALL they do not service my area. FYI, I was told before I purchased the two chairs I would have no problem if future repairs were needed that companies are available in my area! NOT TRUE. NOTE: 101Mobility would come out to my area for a trip fee of $369 not including the seat! I am retired and on a fixed income. I have been told that the seat on my BRUNO stairlift is on recall and under warranty. I want the BRUNO stairlift seat repaired and/or replaced at BRUNO's cost or for the stairlifts to be purchased back and removed! I will then find another company that ***** services my area! They should be thanking their lucky stars that I was not injured when the seat broke!

    I placed a telephone call to my BBB representative this morning stating I have not heard anything from BRUNO and/or 101Mobility. The representative sent a message to BRUNO. At 2:20 today, I heard from 101Mobility *************) regarding the seat replacement.  According to the caller ***(?) he was JUST notified from Bruno thru email and has accepted the seat replacement assignment and stated once he receives notification the replacement seat is on the way to him, he will notify me of an appointment day/time which should be less than 30 days. Once this replacement seat has been installed and working properly, I will notify BBB of the outcome.  I want to thank BBB and my assigned representative for all their efforts in helping consumers.

    The Bruno stairlift "chair seat" was installed on 08/22/24 by 101Mobility and appears to be in good working order.
    It is my understanding that in 2020 Bruno stairlift chair seats had a major flaw in the manufacturing/design of this seat as it was made of 100% plastic and not durable. During the past several years, numerous customers had the same complaint as I did with the seat base displayed a multitude of cracks in the plastic rendering the seat unusable and dangerous to their customers.  ********************** made changes to the seat and also utilized a metal plate for stability and wear. 
    I have another Bruno stairlift which was purchased on 06/2020, (date of mfg 05/2020, serial number ***********, model ********* and the seat has been wobbling for 3 months and will eventually start cracking the plastic and will become unusable and dangerous as like my other chair seat that was just replaced. This particular stairlift chair serves a staircase of 13 steps.  Since this is clearly a manufacturing defect and Bruno is aware of the situation of these chair seats made in 2020, how can I get Bruno to replace this chair seat as well before a catastrophe happens?

    I will keep it short I purchase this Bruno chariot scooter lift approximately a month ago used two years old. I needed some small incidental parts to make it 100% that took over two weeks to get them. I have asked Bruno for some technical questions on how to properly grease the swivels. They still have not returned my call on that now Im having problems with the lifting mechanism. All I would like them to do is to have a technician call me back to answer my questions instead they refer me to a dealer who knows nothing about what Im talking about. Thanks, *****.

    Mr. Heertum,

      The swivel mechanism needs to be serviced by a qualified Bruno dealership.  There are pressure plates on each swivel mechanism that would need to be taken apart and re-greased, then properly put back in order and torqued.  

      Any repairs or servicing needs to be done by your local Bruno dealership to insure it is done properly and per manufacturer specifications to prevent damage or injury.

I would be willing to purchase a service manual for this trailer if that was available?     The clicking "ratcheting" is a built in mechanism for when excessive weight or a binding is occurring.  It is to protect the motor.

    My mom purchased a Bruno stairlift. While using this life the seat broke off! I have made numerous attempts to have someone out to repair. Between my aunt and I we have been told that it is on recall and under warranty. I have gotten several phone numbers from Bruno. NONE of their providers are willing to take care of this. Some have stated they no longer work on Bruno lifts. Some are unwilling to work on a lift that was not sold by them. How can they sell this type of product and NO ONE is willing to accept responsiblity?? I want the lift repaired at their cost or to be purchased back and removed! They should be thanking their lucky stars that I was not injured when the lift broke!

    From the very day it was installed until today there is a constant issue with this stairlift...keeps beeping very often and sometimes the stairlift does not work. I am an 86 years old man and depend on stairlift every day!I have had several service calls and they all tell me that is how that stairlift is made.Last service call I paid for their visit and they replaced switch sensor...for while it was okay and now it's beeping again and stopped working middle of the lift!This is very frustrating for an older man who thought that this stairlift will make my life easier and accessible but to have this aggravation is totally inappropriate.

    Here is Serial number requested.  ***********.  *********** technician came by around early Summer and replaced the sensor switch under seat...that seem to help and now it is all coming back again.  Another issue is I'm deaf and there is no way I can hear beeping and when it is beeping that means it will not charge battery therefore will not work next time I use it.

    If the seat is not at the top or bottom, it will not charge. Also sometimes the connections in the carriage "below the seat" can have communication issues with the contacts touching the rail. This may be part of the issue.  Does the seat lean forward when you sit in it?

      The seat does not lean forward when sit in it....I'm deaf and the beeping is something I will never be aware of...there has to be a better way to stop this...the connections in the carriage should not have communication issues.  Are you saying that is a COMMON problems with all of your stairlift?  Elderly people having to contend with this issue?


    I also see you had Advantage Medical out to service this, Your installing dealer was Shore Mobility according to our records.  I may be able to get Shore Mobility out to investigate, let me know what you wish to do. 

      Shore Mobility does not want to work with me anymore...Advantage Medical seem to be a nicer company to work with.  I am not paying for anyone to come out...I realize this is outside of warranty however the issue has been ongoing since day of installation.

    The best solution would be to have your installing dealer out if it was an issue since it was installed. There is a red switch on the lower right side that will shut the seat off, but it will also prevent it from charging.

    As you have stated and acknowledge that this issue was from beginning...even if warranty has expired for labor I still expect that this issue is resolve free of charge to me.  Yo You can coordinate with appropriate technician to come out and fix issue. The other problem is I'm deaf which means I cannot hear beeping and the monitor box is on the opposite end of the stair lift which make it even difficult for me to know there is an issue.

    I have purchased 3 chair lifts from an authorized Bruno dealer. Two work perfectly. One of the chairs, purchased new in 2019 has not worked properly from the beginning. The dealer has sent techs out numerous times to "fix" the issue. New Batteries have been installed twice at the cost of $90 plus $55 for service. The unit continues to break down every month or so. I literally have to crawl up my stairs in tears to reach my bedroom and enlist the help of my husband. Getting nowhere with the dealer, I reached out to Bruno. ******* from their escalation department assured me that she would take care of me. After several emails back and forth, she advised that I would have to call the dealer and work with them. That is what I have been doing for 4 years. I am requesting a replacement chair but getting nowhere. Another "Gold" Bruno dealer said that Bruno makes a good product but sometimes customers get a quirky chair lift. He said based on my description, it sounds like I need a motherboard replacement. The dealer who keeps "repairing" unit, never even suggested this. I have had 3 bouts of cancer, chemo, radiation and purchased these 3 chair lifts to make my life easier. However, the non-working chair has given me nothing but stress and heartache.

We are reaching out to the dealer to get a resolution to your issue.  The lift needs to be cleaned and serviced once a year to keep it in peak condition. Overloading the lift will also cause issues with performance as that will overstress the motor and gears and could cause overcurrent to the board.  We will be more than happy to send any parts ordered to get your lift operational.

    I purchase two Bruno chair lifts for my parents in 2017 from 101 Mobility. Until this year, I maintained a separate extended warranty for each and thus far have invested almost $9,000 into the chairs between the product, warranties and replacement parts. Each chair travels approximately 7 steps. One of chairs has had almost all of the parts replaced (the seat, the arms and the power swivel). I believe the chair is defective. I've called Bruno twice this year and have spoken to ******* (sp?) each time. I have explained my issue and was told they would need to get further information from 101 Mobility before they can respond. She never returned my call either time. When I call the number provided *************) I am only able to leave a voicemail and receive no further call back. Neither 101 Mobility nor Bruno is responsive to my claims of a defective product. I am requesting that Bruno cover all future costs of parts, labor and extended warranties on both chairs.
