First, the good: Most of their plumbers are kind and courteous. Next, the bad: They came to our home to fix a leaky toilet. Three weeks later, the toilet was leaking again and it didn't concern them. We scheduled them to replace the toilet and after a 30 minute conversation with Kristen, I felt confident we were getting the right toilet. I stressed we wanted a round comfort height toilet in the small bathroom. When they left, I discovered the wrong toilet had been placed. It was an elongated toilet that is three inches taller than our already taller old toilet. When I called, they said we signed the contract which had the wrong toilet on there. Seriously? No apology, nothing, just hung up when I expressed my anger (which I had apologized for). What do they care? They already received payment. The excuse they used was "we talk to 100 people per day, which is why we need contracts". WOW. (side note: I placed the order and my spouse signed the contract) We never received a discount for the poor workmanship from the first trip or from their huge mistake which we now have to live with for the next 10-15 years. If you want to hire plumbers who cheat their customers and overcharge, then hire PJs. If you want a plumber that stands by their word and helps their customers when they make a mistake, then look elsewhere.

To whom it may concern:We were contacted by the customer to install a new toilet. After discussing with the customer specific needs and desires for them we agreed to send a proposal with a specific toilet combination tank and bowl. This was presented to the customer in an electronic proposal proposal #****** dated 02/02/2023. This proposal includes the specific tank combination as well as the specific bowl part. Further, in the description it states ELONGATED bowl. The customer electronically signed and accepted our proposal We ordered the toilet and installed the toilet. And the completion of installation we invoiced our customer. The customer signed our invoice As the owner I do not know what to do or what to say as this is a conflict between a husband and wife. They did not communicate between each other and they are blaming us for their miscommunication. Even the writer of this complaint acknowledges their miscommunication (side note: I placed the order and my spouse signed the contract)Our team did hang up on them. She was berating our staff. We / no one deserves to be yelled at the way she did and the verbal assault deserved to be cut off. We were hired to install a toilet. We provided a cost quotation outlining our job and materials to be provided. We told the customer exactly what they were going to be receiving for a specific amount. The owner signed the proposal / contract. They signed the invoice stating work completed to their satisfaction.

Thursday November 4, 2021 Water heater burst. I call PJ’s Plumbing at 8:00AM. They can come that after noon between 1:00 and 3:00PM. Cost is $2,275.00. My response is wow that’s a bit much for a water heater, but I need one and they can install it that afternoon. The plumber comes out, tears out the old one then before he brings in the new one he comes in my office and says he wants to show me something. We go outside and he says “the new water heater has some cosmetic damage but will not compromise the operation of the unit it is strictly cosmetic”. He calls his office to see if they will discount it some to compensate. Paul called me and says he will discount the unit $150.00 and he too states that the damage will not affect the warrantee or operation of the unit. Ok go ahead and install it. The guy finishes the install, says we should have hot water in 20 minutes or so, collects the $2,300 and off he goes. Hour later I take a shower, it’s only mildly warm so I went down and turned the temperature up a bit. Next day it is still only mildly warm so I go down and turn it up all the way. Now it is Saturday and the water comes out hot but the temp drops within a few minutes to moderately warm. All faucets in the house are the same way and the kitchen hot water pressure is very low. Monday we call PJ’s Plumbing and explain what is happening and that the unit is turned up all the way just to get hot water. Paul says “oh that is not good” and agrees to send a guy out on Tuesday from the distributor. That guy does a few tests and says the water heater is functioning. He agrees there is a problem but he said he is not a plumber so he does not know what it is. Said he would call Paul and let him know what he found and that Paul would then call me. Needless to say no call from Paul so I call Paul late Tuesday afternoon. When I asked what the guy found he says “well the water heater is functioning so I’ve done my job”. I said “Paul, the old unit you pulled out did not drop the water temp after a few minutes at each faucet so why does this one” Paul tells me “well then come and get your old one”. At this point it is getting a bit tense so I said let me think about this and I’ll get back to you. It was very apparent what type of guy I was dealing with so I needed to collect my thoughts. Called him back a half hour later. I said help me understand why before you installed this water heater I had continuous hot water at each faucet and now I do not, when the only variable is the water heater. He says “well you have a problem but we did what you hired us to do”. I said OK but I still do not have hot water so what can be done. He says he would have to send his guy out to see if they can find the problem. I asked how much that would cost he said “well I don’t know it depends how long it takes to find the problem”. I said so basically you want me to give you a blank check to come out and fix a problem that never existed before your team installed this Rheem hot water heater. He said the way he saw it was I was asking him for a blank check to come and fix the problem. Then he said “well you can’t fix stupid” and he hung up on me. I have contacted the credit card company, filed a dispute claim for the charge and will be contacting a different plumbing company to come out and fix the sub-par work done by PJ’s Plumbing since Paul refuses to stand behind his work. aka “POOR JOB PLUMBING”. This organization is obviously a scam

********************, We installed the hot water heater as approved through our quote to you and accepted by you. After installation you informed us you were not getting hot water in some areas of your home. We sent a tech out and the water heater is performing as it should producing up to 160 degree hot water on the outlet. We interacted over the phone and I stated something in your plumbing system is cross connected. Additionally, we shared technical information direct from the manufacturer (Rheem) of the hot water heater. This was their response: I (We) guess my thought would be to do the draw test and if the heater passes the old plumbing issue really should not be your responsibility unless you want to help with that since all you did is used the already existing plumbing connections to connect the new heater up.If you do want to research one other test you can do to check for a possible pluming cross connection is shot off the hot outlet of the heater if there is one then go to one of the fixtures with issue and see if you turn the hot side on if water still comes out. If so that would indicate a cross connection since you just shut the hot off at the water heater that should not be happening. Please call my office at your earliest convenience at ************, as I too want a quick resolution to this situation, the same as you. We stand by our work, but we also stand by our customers. I look forward to hearing from you. ***************************

I had been using this company since I moved to Pewaukee almost 4 years ago. I've used them for plumbing issues, purchasing and installing 3 new toilets, fixing a dishwasher connection and seal, unclogging pipes. I've never complained about their prices before. So when on Labor Day, I had a water pipe come completely undone and start to flood the basement, I called them, after calling the fire department and the fire dept calling the city water department. The fire dept and the city water dept did ALL the work that day. PJ's plumbing came out, didn't know what to do, and yet the plumber hung around for hours, and then said he couldn't get the parts or do the job until the next day. We agreed to the next day. I now have a bill for over $2000 because the plumber charged me $1,050 for standing around in my home and watching what the fire dept and city water dept did. Paul at PJ's admitted they did nothing on that day but says since they came out on a holiday, I owe him the whole amount.
