Thank you for reaching out to Hooked-Up Towing in regards to this complaint.
After reviewing all necessary documentation, it seems that we did do work to this vehicle. We replaced what the customer asked us to replace, when the vehicle was brought into us, it was not running. The times the vehicle left here, it was running. The first time we fixed what he asked- Battery, Spark Plug Wires, and the Distributor Cap. The customer then called us about a week or two later stating the vehicle was running rough again and we told him he could bring it in, and we would take a look at it. He brought the vehicle in and we replaced the distributor cap again, under warranty. The vehicle left again and about a week later he called and said it was running rough, once again. I told him he could bring the vehicle in but he would have to pay a diagnostic fee due to the fact that we had already replaced the cap under warranty and there had to be an additional reason as to why this issue kept happening. He did not want to pay the diagnosing fee and took his vehicle to another shop to be looked at, which voided any other warranty he may have had on parts replaced by our facility. Customer came in on 4/18/22 to have break lines and the engine crankshaft position sensor replaced, the vehicle started acting up again and we replaced the Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor under warranty and we have not heard from the customer regarding any issues with his vehicle until now receiving this letter in regards to the complaint.
      Thank you,
      Hooked-Up Towing and Repair.

While traveling My Van broke down. The alternator froze up causing a power loss. Deweys Towing and Recovery towed my 89 GMC to Hooked Up Towing & Repair. The mechanic replace the alt. with a DL1345-6-11 numbered new alt. in which I made it 25 miles and it shredded it's center nut. I called HUT&R and they advised that I return. I had to drive, while in danger to my 89 GMC, back to H.U.T&R as advised by ***** or *** from HUT&R. The mechanic stated that it was the "tension-er" that caused the problem. Both repairs and parts cost over $300 in which I payed in cash. I made it 75 miles and the NEW Alternator again spent it's center nut. So I broke down with a new mechanic involved that stated that the tension-er was incorrectly installed. That cost me$253.40 invoice #********** from Morans Diesel and Repair. On said invoice ************* stated the facts of the "defective part" and the "wrong installation!" I called HUT&R and explained to them (a woman) the problem and that I wanted a refund on the part. Also texted them as well to no avail. Legal advice says to *** for "three times the amount". I feel this is a good beginning.
