      We initially agreed upon the services outlined in the attached quote (addition on 1-story residential house, new metal roofing, siding, electric work) with the work to be started around September 15, 2021 at the following address: **********************************************************, and completed before winter 2021 or any freezing temperatures. We were told it would take roughly 2 weeks to complete job. Per contractor request to secure job/timing, we provided a 50% materials deposit of $12,500 (check #***, copy attached) that was deposited on August 16th, 2021. We received the attached invoice as a receipt which notes the $12,500 payment deducted. As of Nov 1, 2021, we did not receive any services and there has been multiple failed attempts to meet and discuss the final plan/start date with all parties involved. We agreed to meet Wed Oct 20th and again on Sat Oct 30th, which he never showed up or communicated he would not be there. The jobsite is at our secondary home roughly a two hour drive away, which is why needed to plan ahead to meet in person and extremely frustrating when they do not show/call on multiple occasions. Since no work has started and not able to complete in the time frame agreed upon, we requested a full refund of our deposit of $12,500 on Nov 1, 2021 - to be paid by Nov 30, 2021. We asked if he disagreed with reimbursement and/or purchased any materials for our job. He agreed on Nov 7, 2021 to full amount reimbursement to be paid by money order mailed to our home address. It is now Dec 7, 2021 and have followed up many times with no response and no indication he will refund our deposit. Simply would like to terminate our contract per reasons stated above and receive our $12,500 deposit back.

      R.D.R. Roofing agreed to repair/replace my garage roof that was damaged by a storm in late July. They gave me an estimate on August 26, 2021 of $5200 to do the work on my garage roof. I contacted them repeatedly after the estimate an asked why they haven't started the job. They said they needed 50% down prior to doing the job. On September 28, 2021 I gave them a check for $2600 and R.D.R. Roofing immediately had the check withdrawn from my account. After this date, R.D.R. Roofing on numerous occasions promised to begin work on my garage and on numerous occasions, R.D.R Roofing did not start any work on my garage roof. This went on for almost a month. On October 20, 2021 I informed R.D.R Roofing that they are not going to repair my garage roof and that I want my $2600 returned to me. They were also informed they were not allowed on my property anymore. I contacted R.D.R. Roofing on their ******** page a couple times since October 20, 2021 reminding them I was still waiting for my $2600. The last time I contacted them they replied back to me telling me they would send the check off 'next week.' Shortly after they said this- in a matter of minutes- I was not given permission to view their ******** page. This was almost 2 weeks ago and I still have not received my check. Another thing I should mention: On the invoice that R.D.R. Roofing prepared for me, my 50% down is included, however my name is spelled wrong. All information is correct on the invoice including my address- but my name is spelled Camphuis and should be spelled ********. My garage roof has been waiting over 3 months to be repaired from storm damage. I would have hoped this company would have seen it as a priority to be fixed, but they did not. I have a new contractor scheduled to repair my garage roof, however materials have increased in price and the new estimate is for over $5900. The garage roof will now be repaired in colder weather- hopefully- the repaired roof will water and weatherproof.
