On 6/17/2022 I call and got a quote to get my dog fixed I also asked about shots for my other dog and had them look up my information that they have on file (all my dogs are large breed) Tha vet told me it would cost ****** and a per surgery appointment to make sure she was healthy enough for surgery and that would cost ***** On 6/27/2022 she went in for the pre surgery appointment and then I was given a quote again now it was ****** I said that it's what I was quote on the phone but the vet wasn't going to change the price I said I wouldn't of made the pre surgery appointment if I knew it would cost that much total it would of cost me ****** to get my dog fixed when I was quoted ****** total I have another vet and was quoted ****** If I knew the real price I never would of set anything up with them I asked for my ***** back because of the lie they told me and I would not of gone to them if I knew they were going to change the price while I was there There is only one veterinarian there and he is the owner. I want my ***** back and my time that I wasted going there so another ***** for the differences of surgery by itselfBusiness response

When perspective clients call for prices of different services our receptionists have a list of common prices for those services. Some of those services have fixed prices and others vary by patient depending on age, size, etc. The prices for common elective surgeries are only an estimate for an average size dog. This is why we have patients come in for pre-operative exams where they are given a written estimate for their individual pet so there aren't any surprises at the time of discharge post-operatively. We apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded the fee for the preoperative exam that same day. Our fees reflect all that is involved in our procedures, including equipment and supplies, and staff. Our surgical staff include a veterinarian and two technicians. Patient monitoring involves both physical, hands-on, as well as electronic, which monitors heart rate and rhythm, temperature, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure, and expiratory carbon dioxide levels. We are very proud of the standard of care we provide for our patients. We are glad this owner was able to find the services they required elsewhere at a fee that was more in keeping with their budget. Once again, we apologize for any misunderstanding and have changed our policy of over the phone quotes to only include fixed price items. *** services that vary based on the pets age, size etc. must be seen prior to the procedure and are given a written estimate at that time to prevent this from every happening again.Customer response

Today 7/28/22 I received a letter and a ***** check from All About Animals Veterinary clinics I thank you very much for your help I know it would not of been resolved without you And now maybe they will change the way they quote people. Thank you again
