I had my van taken to Gaspers for repairs. The company misdiagnosed the problem and sold us a very cheap aftermarket battery that failed one hour after leaving their facility causing us to be towed into another shop. We requested that Gaspers go to the other shop and reclaim their faulty battery. To date Gaspers harasses us for payment on a faulty battery, and almost caused our vehicle to get into a wreck due to their cheap parts and misdiagnosed.

the van was brought in with a dead battery we charged and tested the battery it tested bad we replaced the battery with a factory motor parts brand battery.the dodge van has a charging system problem that we do not service here the owner said he was taking it somewhere else to fix it. the battery was installed on 10-31-23 .the bill was never paid .after many attepts to collect with no call backs i left a messagr on his phone that i thought he was ripping me off.then i got a call back.i just want my battery back he did not pay for anything and told me to drive 50 miles to get it at a dealer down south  we called said dealer and they know nothing of that van. like i said all i want is the battery i paid for back  .him not paying for it is theft. i should not have to drive the state to find my battery and if it were bad my parts distributor would take care of it.he is unwilling to return or pay for my battery. i would even give him the lights we fixed in the back of the van for free .i just want my battery back

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I had a disappointing experience with Gaspers Auto Clinic and we are disappointed with their response. They misdiagnosed our vehicle's issue, suggested a new battery, and after installation, the battery turned out to be faulty one hour later. Despite offering to return the battery, they persistently demanded payment for the faulty device. This pattern of misdiagnosis and faulty parts is evident in other reviews they have. Refusing to pay for incomplete work and faulty equipment, which led to additional expenses, near accident, towing my work truck and seeking another mechanic, resulted in the owner of Gaspers flooding our veteran-owned and first responder-operated business with fake poor reviews on many other social media sites. It's regrettable when individuals avoid accountability for their mistakes and resort to trying to tarnish others.

the battery was 100%warrentyed .I spoke with his employee and was told for at least 2 weeks that they would stop and pay for the battery .I was never told it was bad untill well over 30 days the battery we took out of his van tested bad I still have the bad battery. If he would have paid for it.then he would have brought it back for a rufund but he did not pay for it and will not return it.when we installed the battery his employee was told that it has a charging issue that might be

a fault of the ******* not capable of programing a PCM.and was told that they know someone to do that.He is telling me my battery is defective but will not return it to verify his statement.he is upset because i referred him as a ***** because he will not return my property.the only thing that was said was that we installed a battery for him and he refuses to pay for it or return it.like I said before I paid money for that battery and he did not .that is steeling from me.why he cant just return my battery so can get a refund is beyond mefor all i know he is still useing the battery and thats why i didnt get it back.thats just my thought .***** really know but cant think of any other reason not to return it.

Our work van sits at a car dealership and never ran after breaking down one hour after Gaspers misdiagnosis and we have told them many times they can go and reclaim their battery the dealer will give it to them. Their explanation is riddled with false information and we do not accept their explanation.

I have an engine warranty with ***************. I had to file claim number ***** as my engine failed.I am to get a $100 reimbursement for towing which is confirmed through Tristar. I had the repair done on my vehicle through ****** Auto. On February 24, 2023, ****** Auto charged me $280. for towing charges which are on the receipt, I have attached and paid for.******* is telling me ****** submitted the towing charges to them against my claim/my warranty and Tristar will be paying ****** $100 and not me. I have already paid for the towing charges and the reimbursement is due to me and not ******. This is my warranty, not ********. ****** is not being honest and is trying to double-dip on these charges. I am not getting a resolution from either party.
