I got eyelash extensions done by this girl at her house. Her and her sister run a company where they do lashes and facials straight from their house. I was recommended their place from a friend and decided to go there to get my lashes done for prom. Aniyah (the girl you did my lashes) told me that the extensions should stay on for two weeks. After I them done, I went straight to school for three hours to work on decorations for North High School's event Expo. I did not touch them or get them wet, but after two hours of being there, I noticed them falling out. I knew that it was normal for them to fall out a little bit at first so I shook it off. I was then at home after school working on a promposal sign when I realized my lashes continued falling off. They kept falling off so much that I only had half on on one eye and none on the other. With prom in two days, I was freaking out. I immediately asked Aniyah for a full refund (which was $80). She told me she'd only give me half back since she took time out of her day to do them and put the product on me. Once I told her that her product and time was not worth the $40 since it didn't work, she didn't even offer me the $40. Currently I am just trying to get my refund back since I'm a senior and I'm trying to save up all the money I can for college. Any help would be appreciated. I attached the screenshots of our conversation about the refund.Business response

Hello, this is ***************************. I am the one that did Jadyns lash extensions. After her appointment with me, I gave her an aftercare card that explains clearly what to and what not to do with the extensions. We also had discussed proper aftercare while I was doing her extension because she asked me. Later on on April 29th, at 12:20am, she had said they were just falling out, but that has not happened once with any one of my clients. I received all my products from the person I was certified and took a class with. Jadyn had sent me a photo of what her lash extension looked like when she told me they were falling off and in the picture, it clearly shows that she had makeup on her under eyelashes and that was one of the points stated on the aftercare card, to avoid mascara and makeup at least around the eye area. Having makeup on or around the eye area effects how the lashes stay on, especially after the first 24 hours of getting them applied, which also is stated on the aftercare card she took home. I offered her a half refund due to all of the product and time I spent with her, but that was not good enough for her. My products are very expensive because I get them from professional websites, which are websites my certifier requested to me, so I believe that my time and product was worth her only getting a half refund. I am doing this job because I am going to college for cosmetology and wanted to get a head start on my future!
