I have a 2015 ***** Equinox they repaired under warranty. They messed up the warranty repair so bad ** voided the warranty and blamed Sheboygan ***** for the botched repair. The repair was to fix excessive oil consumption that is common with these vehicles as well as replace the timing chain.They did the repair but failed to do it correct and the motor blew a connecting rod out the bottom. Gm Refused to make good on the warranty because Sheboygan Chevrolet messed up the warranty repair.Sheboygan Chevrolet decided the engine was beyond repair. They put in a junk year motor. The motor used oil right away, 1 Quart per **** miles. I put on less than 20K miles and the engine is hammering and using oil again. I should have had a good motor with the ** approved fix but because of the botched repair job Sheboygan ***** did I got an older engine than I had, I was told a 2014 with a few less miles they said. No one knows for sure the miles as junkyards lie about things like that. The motor they put in was also a bad motor that ** admitted was in the recall for a free fix and the fix was never made.My car now has 117k miles and is not usable. All they did was botch up the repair ad stick me with a motor that got me over the 100K mile warranty limit to run out the warranty.. Very shoddy to stick me with a junk yard motor which had the same oil burning timing chain issues. I should have had a good ** approved warranty repair.I bought the Vehicle new from Sheboygan Chevrolet and was treated like dirt.Business response

I am sorry to hear about the problem with the 2015 Equinox that we put in on12-30-2023. If you could have the customer call ********************* at ************. We will try to get the customer satisfied and taken care of. This is the first we are hearing of any problems with the engine. Let us know if there is anything else we can do. I purchased **** pontiac vibe from this dealer. Once I got the vehicle home, all the tires were flat the next morning. I contacted **** the manager, and he didn't believe me. However, I did receive a check today 3/21/22 for ***** The tires were ******. They also insisted I can purchase an aftermarket warrant for *******. They explained I can cancel anytime. I tried to cancel on 3/21/22 and they said forget it. They were rude, and their other manager ****** called me a ****, when I mentioned this. They refuse to make good on the tires, and refund my aftermarket warranty!!!Business response

To whom it may **************** am attaching the Warranty Refund check, a copy of the $20 refund for his wheel tax (do not have where he lives that is why it was refunded), a copy of the repair order that shows we put 2 new tires on the vehicle during our safety inspection. Also attached a copy of the safety that is signed by the customer stating that the vehicle is sold "AS IS".
I am very sorry that he felt our manager did not believe him. **** asked him to bring up to the store so he could look at tires to see if something was wrong with them and the customer did not want to do that. The $20 refund was for a city wheel tax that is charged in a lot of cities but not where this customer lives. As far as the extended warranty goes, we tried to explain that because it was so new the contract the warranty was not registered yet and as soon as it was we would cancel for him. As far as someone swearing at you, I listened to all the phone calls between you and ****** and not once did he swear at you. As was stated on the safety the car is sold as is and we feel the tires that were not new were good as well and will not be refunding $700 for tire for the customer. The money has been sent to the bank for his warranty cancelation. We had the customer here and sat with **** to get everything taken care of with the customer. I believe everything is taken care of.
