My name is ****, 11/04/2021 a technician from this company came over for a service call to advise me on how to fix and repair the problems I was having with heat air not going through the basement ducking. I told him before he went down to the basement that the past install was not done properly and the ducking were bent and air was having difficulty going through the ducks and that the basement felt cold. When I schedruled the service call, the lady on the telephone let me to believe that this would be a free estimate as other companies do offer first visit free estimates. When technician arrived he also did not mention anything, then he went tobasement and after ******************************************************************************* fact bent and that air was having problems going through to be sufficient to heat the room. he then proceeded to give me a **** for about $150. When I asked him what did he suggest on how to fix the problem, he told me I do not work on those types of repairs. I told him that I would not pay for this service and that I believe that the amount was very excessive and that he was price gouging and taking advantage of me, a quadriplegic paralyzed person in a wheelchair. My brother was present when all this occurred and we both saw him storm out the door saying something under his breath that I could not hear. I believe that this company is a bad company doing bad service calls and taking advantage of people by implying that they will perform a free estimate on the first service call when in fact they overcharge for a 10 minute Service call and without ever giving me any new information or a solution. This is why I am writing this letter to advise you and others of what this company is doing. I am on disability and I cannot afford to pay this ridiculous amount and I hope of getting a clear solution to the problem. I hope that bbb will make this company change their behavior and to advise others of what they are doing. Thank youBusiness response

Good Morning,
When the customer called, he never indicated that the issue was with the ductwork. He said the heat was not working for the basement. Dispatch assumed he had furnace issues and a Service Technician was dispatched. Once onsite the technician realized that this was a ductwork install issue, and not a repair issue.
Since he was dispatched for a service call and not an estimate he was instructed to collect. However,we give free estimates, and the customer was not charged for the call.
I verified this with ******************** and he said he was not charged for the call.
This was just lack of communications and misunderstanding of the issue. All is good. Customer has not been charged for the call.
