I brought my vehicle to the repair shop to get my AC fixed 2 years ago. It worked for a short period than stopped. Brought it back and they tried again. It worked for a little bit than stopped again. Brought it back a third time and same thing. I asked for a refund to take it elsewhere and they refused.

Regarding the above mentioned client the vehicle in question has different things going on with the vehicle.

The first time at our shop we did fix the ** and it did work for a short time.   The second time bringing the vehicle back to the shop it was a different fix on the ** lines.   Now coming to us again there is a different issue with the need of a different part.  Because this vehicle is under warranty I personally have talked with said client and stated instead of refunding money because of it being under warranty that we would get this part ordered from the Dealership and fix her vehicle with no labor cost to her part only - for the inconvenience.   The client has agreed to this so therefore we are awaiting the new part from the Dealership to come in so we can fix the vehicle.   We are still waiting for the part so being a client myself to other facilities I would call and inquire before reporting a said issue to BBB.

Please confirm if the customer is refusing the fix we will reimburse for labor however there are parts in the vehicle that the customer should pay for.  In asking the client at this time when the part comes in are we completing the task or does the client want to go somewhere else.

      Thank you kindly,

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was told the part would be in in 1-2 weeks, that was 6 weeks ago. I was also told the part would be free but Id have to pay $600 more in labor  Im fine with them taking their parts back out of my car if they put my old parts back in since they werent the issue anyway. I was told it was one thing than another than another. If it was diagnosed correctly the first time I wouldnt have had to replace all the other parts.   At this point Id like a full refund to take it somewhere else.

      Regards,

***************************** initial complaint was no air conditioning.  "June 2 of 2020"    Her vehicle was diagnosed that her rear ** lines were leaking; she chose not to repair those lines and install a block off kit.     She returned again the leak of the ** was in the front of the rear line so another kit was reinstalled under warranty.  "free of charge."    "September 17, 2020".     Next visit on May 20, 2021 - **** stated she had no ac - upon evaluation  the passenger had cold ** on the driver side did not - the temp door actuator was bad.   We installed the temp door actuator from the local parts store and that failed 09/03/2021 a couple months after... we tried another one under warranty which failed as well.   At that time we had a factory OEM part from Dodge and installed that .. all the while we were checking the temp door for movement and it would work after we installed it.

06/27/2022 - The final visit at our shop the temp door melted inside the heating and air conditioning box - do not know if something was split down there to cause this however we could not turn the temp door actuator which then means we need to replace the whole HV** housing.  Which explains why it would work for a couple months - they have tiny teeth in there if they get stuck they break instantly.   That part is a special order from the dealer and they are on backorder.

The ** still works just not on that one side.   Therefore we are willing to give her money back for temp door parts and labor however the ** works.   To take our parts out for the ** like she is asking us too is not recommended because she would not have any ** lines as the block off kit was installed.

      HV** Door Actuator  Parts  ***** Labor 142.50  = $254.26.

      Please advise how to proceed.
