Need some help resolving an ongoing problem I have in getting a warranty claim satisfied. I purchased a **** Series patio door from ***************************** ****************************************************************, on Aug 27, 2014 which has a 10 yr warranty against fading. See copy of agreement. The original door was installed on Nov 21, 2014 and fast forward 7 years. Started to notice it had faded. The door is located on the north side of the house so it never gets direct sun. I contacted **************************** May 2021 and opened a claim through their warranty company. I sent them all the information they requested. The original purchase agreement, color chart, and pictures of the door, inside and out. After some time I was informed that they had no record of the purchase or anything on the door. Went back to **************************** and through back checking invoices, shipping invoices did get the door covered. After many calls, the warranty company agreed to replace the door. This is where it gets complicated. They did install a new door Nov 18, 2022. Seeing that I live in northern ** it is generally cold, windy and snowy, which it was. The temperature was 5 degrees above zero and very blustery. When they finished removing the old door and installing the new door it was 5:30PM and dark. I never went out and inspected the door. The next morning, in the daylight, I went out and looked at the patio door. To my shock, the door was the wrong color exterior and not the color of the original door we had.I called **************************** and informed them that it was definitely the wrong color. They said that is what was on their paperwork. Not really sure where they got the color. They said they could not do anything because that color is what they had on their paperwork. Never mind what the purchase agreement stated and what we had initially installed. The first door was the correct color. Architectural Bronze, not what they are trying to pass off as the color we had.*********************

In 2014 an **** series patio door was installed. The door was the color of ******** Terra. The door was replaced in ************************************************************ 2014. The warranty is good for the color of the original order only.

Thank you for your response regarding the issue of the incorrect color door being installed. Please see the purchase agreement with Hip and Ridge dated 8/27/2014, the color patio door ordered was Architectual Bronze and that was the color of the original patio door installed. The original color was not American Terra but that's what the replacement color ended up being, and it is wrong.                                                             Regards,

      *********************

Contract for gutters and heat cable on existing garage and house signed on 3/4/2023. Amount paid - $8780.00 Business agreed to everything my father asked for verbally, but the contract was wrote differently Dispute is they are charging an extra $6600 for work that their subcontractor completed without it being in the contract from original contractor I have talked with the business asking them for a resolution - we are willing to pay something, but not the full $6600. I also have asked for an itemized receipt which they say they are not able to provide. This is on my fathers property, I am his daughter/POA.

Attached is an invoice my father received from the company who did the additional work (that should have been in the contract to begin with). With this invoice, it leads me to believe he is getting double charged. Once by Hip and Ridge Construction ($6600 sent in my original complaint) and once from A-1 Seamless Gutters, who actually completed the work, for $2861.00.

Please see the attached documents. The scope of work is very clearly defined in the contract. ********************* was present and fully involved in the decision making process of the project and signed the contract that details the scope of work. The additional work demanded by her father the home owner is due in full.

We are not disputing the work done rather disputing the $6600 charge. I have asked for an itemized invoice which I have not yet received; ******** responded with they do not have a breakdown of the charges. Since last talking to Hip & Ridge (prior to the BBB complaint) and disputing the charge, we have received an invoice from A1 Seamless Gutters (who actually completed the work) for an amount of $2861.00. I have stated all along that we are willing to pay something for the additional work done, but not $6600. We feel this is not a fair price and completely taken advantage of. If A1 Seamless gutters are charging $2861 and Hip & Ridge is charging $6600 (a difference of $3739), that is nothing short of highway robbery. We will gladly pay the $2861 for the work that was completed.

      Regards,

The invoice from A-1 Seamless was not an invoice for *********************** and *********************. The invoice was sent in error. A-1 Seamless has reached out to ********************* to explain to her that this was a new computer system error and the invoice is not due from them. This is an invoice for additional materials only. We are not required to disclose our costs. The price charged for the additional work is the same price per linear foot as the price in the contract for the contracted linear footage. The balance for the additional work demanded is due.

I don't believe the invoice from A1Seamless Gutters is a mistake. My belief is Hip & Ridge and A1 Seamless Gutters are working together to try and rectify the invoice "error" (from A1 Seamless Gutters) in order for ** to pay the full cost of $6600 which we will not agree to. I would like to demand a discounted price and a breakdown of charges. The amount I will agree to pay is $2861.00

In June 2022 shingles and gutters were installed on my home. On 7/1 I signed off on the work as complete. On 7/5 I noticed water damage on the ceiling and called. No answer, no call back. On 7/10 more damage was found. Called again. 3rd call and a threat to take action resulted in someone coming out and spending a few minutes on the roof hammering. No call back about the findings or fixing water damage inside home. It has since been quite dry and I noticed no new damage. Today it rained heavily and there is more damage and the discoloration is soft to the touch.
