We purchased a puppy from this business in October of 2023. As a part of the purchase you are required to give them a $200 check as a deposit, over and above the $350 adoption fees, that will be returned after you provide proof of the spay/neuter of your puppy. They tell you that they will not cash the check and that upon receipt of proof of spay/neuter they simply tear up the check. They not only cashed the check but upon receipt of proof of spay/neuter they refuse to give us our money back. I simply want my $200 that we were promised from them. I do believe this company should be checked out further but that is not my place. I thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.Business response

They signed a contract that stated they would submit the proof and the email is even circled. This did not happen until well after it was due. We have no way of knowing when this is done it is their responsibility to send it in. This is stated in the contract which they signed and agreed to. I also attached there signed contract as well.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear. We got ******* neutered the week of 3/25/24 which is well within the 6 month and/or the 60 days. We received him at such a young age and we had to wait per our Vet.

You may have completed getting your dog altered however no proof was ever sent to the email that was provided and circled. How was I supposed to know this was completed? It vlearly states what your responsibility was to inform us. You also read, signed and agreed to it.Customer response

You were provided proof of the neutering prior to the deadline and you told me via FB Messenger that you were going to refund me via PayPal and asked for my PayPal email address . You are simply now trying to skirt your responsibilities as we did live up to our end of the contract.

In April 2022, I adopted a dog from Last Paw Rescue in *********. I paid $350 + $100 deposit for neuter. The rescue records show my dog was given rabies vaccine, but they did not provide a certificate. My town requires a license for dogs and to get the license, I need to pay a fee and provide a rabies certificate. The problem is that ******** is not returning my emails, calls, or ****************** messages. I have not been able to obtain a license because of this and the town has called me and will be issuing a fine. The problem is still unresolved. If ******** does not provide the certificate, then I'll have to pay for another vaccine. Either case, I will have to pay a fine. I understand that ******** is a volunteer organization, but no responding or following up is unprofessional and they are costing me money now.Business response

We were never given a certificate for the rabies vaccine. She received paperwork with the vaccine and lot number along with the vet who administered it. We can only provide her what we have. What we provided is legal and should be acceptable to her cityCustomer response

******** needs to send me that documentation for the rabies vaccine. They had plenty of time to resolve this by responding to my many messages. They have not responded and there is still a late fee to pay. Once they send the documentation, Ill ask the city if they will accept.

Its hard for me to put **************** but I will give it I try. Found a dog online through Last paw rescue in ***** **. the dog was fostered in **********. Met with the ****** family, paid $300 plus a $100 check deposit to get him neutered I would get the check back after proof. The problem is you cannot touch the dog he is deathly afraid of everything. He did attack my arm I have three puncture wounds that bled. We contacted the rescue and they refuse to give us our money back. They will take the dog back but will not refund the money.I believe this place needs to be shut down.
