This "Rescue" needs to be shut down - I adopted a puppy from them in April of 2022. They said he was a Jack Russell Terrier. When I finally met him, he was subdued so probably given cough medicine or some sort of tranzelizer as he was lethargic, but he was clearly a large breed puppy. I adopted him thinking a black lab is a nice dog. I told them via messages I could not have a pitpull or any of the bully breeds. They were certain he wasn't. He is 30% German Shepherd and 30% pitpull. I had his DNA tested. He also has extreme separation anxiety. I have reached out multiple times to return this dog with no response or very rude messages saying I got this dog when he was 8 weeks old and I ruined him. He was 4 months old at least when I got him and the foster mother told me that he acted that way when she had him and she thought it was cute. His vaccinations were not current. This has been so traumatic for me throughout and they refuse to respond. I feel so bad for this animal but I am at a point I no longer know what to do. I guess I will reach out to an attorney for help as their adoption contract says the dogs have to be returned to them but how can we do that when they don't respond? They don't care about the animals they claim to rescue. They want to make money and that is all. The animals suffer. Why continue to go down south to get more dogs when you can't address the dogs you have already taken in? I have never experienced any organization so unprofesional and so unethical. I would encourage anyone looking at their web page to read their reviews; they are scammers.

Think very long and hard prior to donating, adopting or involving yourself with this “rescue” Please review “rescues” prior to adopting an animal..not all rescues are created the same and this one is basically a “dog flipping” business. Do your research: reviews, BBB, tax information etc. the dogs that are brought from various areas of the US are sold by them as property in the state of Wisconsin. There are no regulations here regarding legalities. Save your money, keep rescuing animals in need but from anyone other than here. This is a great site to learn about legit vs not rescues … https://islanddogsrescue.com/ethical-vs-unethical-rescues/

Last Paw Rescue is a brick and mortar dog hoarding business classified as a "non profit". Non profit tax records are public information...take a peek before you buy any dog. Heavy income and almost no assets. Would like to see how many dogs the boardmembers foster. I will be exposing what they are paying themselves and hopefully that will put an end to this sham

This business is an absolute joke. The foster family was terrible, my pup was absolutely abused and disregarded. They don’t contact you, or respond to ANY requests. Even when I need vaccine and medical history I got nothing back. Forget even getting money back for proof of neuter
