Our water heater broke down in Sept 2021 and we had a Home Warranty on the property to assist with getting a new one installed. When *************** was selected for the job they provided a quote for $1700 all in, $1000 of which was being covered by the warranty. We agreed to the quote. When *************** completed the job, the plumbers handed my wife and I an invoice to total $2,266.12 for the 50gal replacement. We told the plumbers that at the very least, the $1000 from the warranty was to be deducted from the invoice and that this invoice was still way higher than the quote provided over the phone. We were told to take that up with their office. We called *************** and they denied ever providing a quote for $1700 repeatedly, but finally deducted the $1000 from the warranty. Our new **** now totals $1,304.21, still much higher than the quote we were provided so we called them back once again and provided a 3rd party quote from another local plumber stating that the cost of the job all in would not exceed $1900.00. *************** ignored the 3rd party quote, but did own up to the fact that "one of their employees" came forward and confirmed that we were provided with a $1700 quote before the job even started. After requesting that the invoice be adjusted, the rep from *************** stated "that's life" and refused to adjust the invoice to meet that quote. We proposed paying them the additional $700 to meet the remaining balance from the quote provided but *************** refused to take payment. It's now Jan 2022 and our invoice continues to accrue finance charges and our ~$2300 water heater is now leaking. All in all, we were misled, the customer service was lacking severely, and the work completed was poor. My wife and I would still honor the original quote agreed, but do not wish to be contacted by this company ever again either by phone, email, or mail.
