Colorful Concrete Solutions (CCS) coated and sealed our garage floor and front porch area in June of 2017. The warranty covers materials for 10 years and workmanship for 1 year. The garage floor coating failed within 14 months and developed bubbles over a substantial portion of the floor. The owner, *****************************, was called and he came over to inspect the floor on 8/5/19. ****************** determined that the problem was due to a material failure. ****************** instructed us not to pry up any portion of any bubble but to wait until a bubble released on it's own. He stated that that way it could be determined which component failed. ****************** stated that because the area of failure was so large, a repair would not be sufficient and that the entire floor would be redone at no cost. No bubbles released during 2020. In the spring of 2021, I again called CCS to get on their schedule for 2021, although no bubbles had yet released. I was then informed that the company had been sold but the new owner would come over and take a look. The new owner, *****************************, came over on 3/31/21 to assess the situation. He agreed that the entire floor would be redone at no charge. ********************** advised that he would do the repair in the fall when business slowed down because this was a warranty job and he would not get additional funds from us. After several unreturned calls and emails, to schedule the work, CCS sent us a letter on 10/27/21 stating that because the company was sold to ********************** in May 2020, the warranty is "non-transferable" and that new ownership does not cover warranties for projects completed before that date. I replied that transfer of ownership includes acquisition of both assets and liabilities and that we do not consider this issue closed and requested a conversation with **********************. Calls and messages sent on 10/28, and 11/5. were not returned.
