      Adams was contracted by my building contractor to install our garage doors for a new build. If I would have known they only warranty their work 1 month from the date of install, I would have never hired this company. The main overhead door was installed incorrectly from the beginning. They were out several times and even had the manufacturer of the door out to tell them what they needed to do to fix the issue. They pointed fingers at everyone, even blamed us for the issue that they could not fix. We eventually had to call Hartland overhead door to come out and fix what they said was not an issue. I have heard that this was a good company before Door Professionals LLC bought them out, but personally I would never EVER hire this company to do anything that involves garage doors. Make sure you do your research before no matter what the price is.

      We installed the doors originally in December of 2020. We were first made aware of an issue with the garage door in June of 2021. We went out several times at no charge to fix the problem. We asked the manufacturer to come and look at the door to confirm that they had originally given us the correct parts due to extended lead times and product shortages. Ultimately it was determined that the springs supplied by the manufacturer were not the correct size, we ordered and replaced the springs at no charge to the customer, the door was working perfectly after the spring install. A week later they called us again stating there were still issues, We dispatched our technicians, as they were inspecting and troubleshooting the door, the homeowners boyfriend was verbally abusing and harassing the technicians. The technicians fixed what they could but refused to go back again due the the abuse that they were receiving from the boyfriend. We take our employees and customers safety very seriously and will not put them in a situation where they feel their safety is compromised.

      I came home when they were working on the doors when my boyfriend was there and there was no verbal abuse that I witnessed. I just witnessed the technicians drilling into the motor.. they stated that something was stripped and he had stated to them that it was unacceptable because we payed them for a brand new service. We went into the house and they continued to work then left sometime without word and without the issue being fixed. I emailed the manager/*********************** who had been my contact with from the beginning and he stated "I apologize, after speaking with **** and my technician, I was under the impression that all of the issues were addressed by my technician. Just so we are all on the same page, what issues are you still having? My technician stated that the springs, although they are not the exact size the Amarr salesman suggested, they are currently balanced properly. I confirmed with Amarr that if they are balanced, then they are the proper springs. What are the other issues currently with the door so that I can address them?" this was after the episode that he is stating that the "verbal harassing" happened. I had asked for them, since they could not seem to fix this issue and clearly had no idea how to fix it, to pay for an other company to come out and fix it. At that point was when they came up with the excuse that there was "verbal harassment" and that there was nothing that they could do for me. I gave them ample chances to fix the issue. They did not take the advise of the manufacturer :although they are not the exact size the Amarr salesman suggested: this was straight out of his email. This was then my conclusion that they have no idea what they are doing and I had to have a very reputable company come and fix what they could not. We, as homeowners, contract companies because it is not something that we know anything about and if they do a hack job to begin with then give you all kinds of excuses on why they cant fix it, they should give the customer their money back. I think this ********************** expected that I would not have saved every email back and forth and if I could I would release all of them to show potential customers how they treated us and give them the option if they would choose this company to install garage doors for them.
