I ordered a piece of Iron and paid them in good faith $131.76. I have not received what I ordered and *** doesn't have any information on this. American iron has been hostile and told me its my problem with ***, not theirs. This is factually incorrect. It is according to the law the responsibility of the seller that I receive my item. *********************************************************************** They need to either send me another piece of iron to the specified dimensions, this time via Fed Ex or **** or they need to refund my money immediately.Business response

Dear ********************,
The referenced completes was an issue we have been working on with *** and their apparent loss of this customers shipment. My Vice President had been working with the customer to assist in tracking the shipment but ultimately it was *** needing to advise to us and customer the shipments whereabouts. The original complaint from the customer came less that a week after the shipment and was presented very harshly by the customer.
The abusive tone this customer took with our receptionist and Vice President was over the top and deeply offended them. The customer used extremely foul language and went to heights of vulgarity toward them such that I could not let it stand without taking this person to task. Admittedly, I probably should have kept my sarcasm in check, but I thought it was better than going to his foul-mouth depths.
You will see the exchange our office had with this customer,and you can be the judge if we so grossly violated BBB code of ethics that this complaint should be give credence and that his complaint should be posted. We hope not.
The original order was our companys minimum charge of $75. With the freight it came to $131.76. We have issued full credit in the form of a check: See attached. Note *** has yet to find the shipment or credited us for the lost material.

This so-called company escalated and escalated. My initial reply was not anything near what they claim. There are also emails missing it seems. And this went much farther than a week. I ordered that iron a week prior to being charged for it. I needed that to get my lathe set up for production and I didnt have all the time in the world to lolly gag around. I also bought this personally and not as *****************. im refusing that check. They can send the iron as they were supposed to do via fed ex.
At no time should a business such as theirs be escalating a problem with a customer. And what they said to me was beyond acceptable. I also noticed a lot of former employees posting on indeed about this company and how hostile the new management has become. Its too bad they are so weak that they get so offended from so little. I bought and paid for something and the first priority should be to get my stuff to me ASAP. Not play games with *** and engaging in childish behavior. Im a veteran, I have PTSD and *** learned to test those Im considering doing business with because I cant afford to have these kind of issues when there is more at stake. Something I learned working in the corporate world. They failed miserably and showed just what kind of people they really are. They arent worth the paper they are printed on! I feel sorry for their families and employees who have to live and work under them.
In any case, I never purchased anything as ***************** from them so their check is going right into the garbage. I purchased as ***********************. once again, these people have no idea what they are doing.
I can only hope that they go out of business soon and from what Ive heard from their past employees, thats likely going to be the case. They are total and complete scum bags! I grew up around the WW2 depression era generation and I worked in their stores and they showed me how to handle angry customers and it was NOTHING like what they have done. Even their attempt to discredit me by including these emails is yet more proof of there scum baggery! These are not people with any sort of moral standards nor are they honest people at all. These are the kind of people that would sleep with your spouse if they could and then act like it was your fault when they were caught.

I want to be clear about american iron. In no way have I done business with them as Potter Industrial. My business was done as *************************. They are issuing a so called check to Potter Industrial in an effort to stall and continue to play their games. The fact that they have tried to further discredit me by including those emails, most of which are missing should be further proof of these peoples despicible actions.I will not accept that check because I never paid them as Potter Industrial. In fact, at this point, I have not even operating as of yet. If I had done business with them as Potter Industrial, I would have given them by Tax info.I am still trying to open for business. I needed the pice of iron for a modification to my lathe so I can produce parts from the lathe in a production ******. I also filed this complaint against them as ***********************, not ****** Industrial.I wanted to make this clear again but I see I have no other options to include this info.Business response

We received the copy of ****************** letter back to your office. Judging by the tone and nature of ****************** reasoning, and seemly unreasonable anger, I would hope this claim would be deemed as reactionary and not worthy of merit. We have fully refunded ****************, but he seems obsessed with furthering his frivolous claims.
AIA will consider this matter closed and move on. We will continue to serve our customer with pride of our many years of good service reputation that we have enjoyed since our founding in 1982.

[American Iron are very clever at playing games and continuing to play the victim. Their check is a fraud. It's being returned to them as we speak. They sent a check made to potter industries. I never paid them under potter industries. I paid them under ************************* ******. I explained to the sales person what I was doing and where I was at with my business and that I only had my LLC and that I didn't have my tax paperwork yet otherwise I would have used that and the name of the business to make the purchase. I also have not yet opened a bank account under potter industrial, potter industries or anything of the like, and they know this, that's why they sent me a check I can't cash. I'm also not sure why they even put potter industries on the paperwork they had since I'm not doing business yet as potter industries. I'm in the process of putting this business together, and getting my products developed and as such was considering working with them. I learned from working for major corporations in the past to test the waters to see what kind of people Id be working with and its an easy and quick indicator to weed out bad apples so they can be avoided and this group of people at american iron are by far the absolute worst I've ever witness in my life! These are the kind of people that would sleep with their best friends spouse then blame their best friend for it! They are dishonest, rude and morally bankrupt in every way! They made it clear the matter would be resolved when THEY wanted it to be resolved and they are doing it again here. And to say I'm angry is an understatement. In 40 years of working in this industry I have never EVER experienced such morally bankrupt scum bags EVER! And I can guarantee I'm just getting started with them. I am thoroughly SICK AND TIRED OF their filthy attitudes and dishonesty! And I'm NOT going to tolerate it AT ALL!!!! I am NOT going away! Furthermore, I understand from an inside source that they can create mailing labels with *** and that they believe the Iron I bought never left their facility nor was it even cut. *** cannot find this parcel anywhere in their facility. I talked to them last week ON THE ***** for over a half hour! THEY are suspicious as well that the iron never left american irons facility and if *** finds this to be the case, *** will file fraud charges criminally against american iron! Thats what I was told directly from the investigator at ***.]
