      BRADEN ******* and TOBY ****** have been extremely helpful when new owners took over the property where I have lived for 14 years. They helped with my lease renewal and with updates in my unit. Prompt communication and quick scheduling for unit updates. I know it is difficult to update an apartment that is occupied, but I am very happy they are willing to share my concerns and questions with the owner. Maintenance requests thru the app are being addressed much more quickly now as well. If you care about where you live and keep your apartment as clean as you would your own home, then SMART ASSET will have your back.

      Terrible company. If you see their name on a home they are managing. RUN, they do not respond quickly or truthfully. Lost out on a home because of their lack of response and now they want to charge me an extra 300.00 on top of prorated rent because I need an extension. Owners of this house along with this company should never be rented from EVER!

      We have responded to all maintenance requests in a timely manner. Any requests for landlord references have been completed and returned in a timely manner. The increase in prorated rent is due to the current market value. ************** requested a 1.5 month extension of which only the prorated half month was calculated with the increased rent amount.

      Someone here already said and I agree with "unprofessional, unreliable, and extremely difficult to communicate with."My fridge went out and they told me it's part of my lease agreement that I am responsible for it, AFTER they took the one i had, (did not even try to fix it) and replaced it with a Super small fridge like I'm some kind of college student. I'm also told that I have to pay for it. I NEVER agreed to that or i would have ordered a fridge that was the same size as the one that was broken. I still don't understand why they did not have a technician at the least look at the broken one to see if it could be fixed for cheaper than it is to replace it. WAS NOT MY CHOICE! But here we are and this is my review.

      ******* reported that his refrigerator was broken, we dispatched a vendor to remove his fridge and replaced it. We did not realize that ******* was responsible for his appliances per his lease agreement and instead of removing the new one we installed on accident, we offered to give it to him for half the cost due to the mix up.

      Im completely dissatisfied with Smart Asset. They have been unprofessional, unreliable, and extremely difficult to communicate with. The maintenance aspect has been a nightmare; they send someone out to do the job, and it doesnt get done correctly.To make matters worse, after I submitted my notice that I was leaving, they tried to stick me with a maintenance bill that I was not notified that I was going to be charged for and have refused to have a manager call me back to discuss this issue.

      Very unprofessional company I don't recommend them to anyone! The residence I was living in had mold growing in the basement! I refuse to sign a new lease so they gave me a 28 day notice so I moved out they took 575 dollars of my refund claiming I would not let DGK mold company in to remove the mold that was a lie an they claimed the company charged a 500 dollar reschedule fee ! I'm taking them to small claims court see you in court ***

      Terrible customer service the agent Sandra was one of rudest people I’ve met. She was late to the showing, no heads up no apologies and then ended up never come at all and then when I told her I’m the future she could at the very least let the future tenant know she’d be late she interrupted me and told me she wasn’t going to argue with me and hung up in my face. Not to mention her texts days prior were rude as well, we all know what it means when someone writes in all caps. That’s what she did. Just awful!

      The property I am currently living at has a multitude of health code violations. I have also contacted the ********* ****************** I have reoccurring mold growing on my bathroom ceiling and walls. The landlord has been notified multiple times about this issue. Their resolution is to clean it with bleach and leave a window open to ventilate the bathroom. We live in ********* where we rely on We Energies for heat and electricity. This seems like an unreasonable expectation unless they want to pay for the heating bills. The mold appears to be black mold and has not been tested. I am allergic to mold and have raspatory issues every time I use my restroom. As well as documentation from an allergy specialist regarding the allergy. There is also an infestation of mice. For over a year the property management company has been advised that the dishwasher was not installed correctly and has no casing and insulation is exposed. Nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Last winter a bay window was blown out by high winds and damaged my brand-new tv. This went unrepaired for a week exposing my house to the elements and harsh winds. Most recently the window frame in one of the bedrooms has molded out and the property management company refuses to repair the window because of a balance on the act for a screen door that was blown off the hinge by harsh winds due to poor installation. They installed another screen door 6 months later only to have the same thing happen. Last week the temperatures were in the single digits and this damaged window caused my son to get sick as well as higher energy usage. They are slum lords and these living conditions are not acceptable. The property should be deemed unhabitable. This property management company should be closed down. I agree with other complaints that all they do is collect rent from the tenants, and refuse to do any repairs. The company needs to be investigated.

      All they care about is money they do not care about the properties or the tenants or repairing anything. There was a rotten board on the porch that is falling apart and we head over 20 mph wind gusts and it finally broke and now they are trying to charge us $251 for the repairs. All they care about is money and I would not rent from them again once I move out if they are the last renters in the world. They need to get closed down that's why I've already contacted the city and I am contacting the state of Wisconsin because I'm not paying for something that should have been fixed by them not me. There is one other tenant that has access to the front porch and the only people they charged were us.
